Aqua Tofana Great Again' movement is gaining traction in the United States after Donald Trump's victory in the recently-concluded Presidential Elections. Some women frustrated by Donald Trump's return to the Oval Office are using a centuries-old metaphor about women poisoning their husbands to channel their disappointment, causing a stir online.
The 'MATGA' movement is a recent online trend in which some women humorously advocate for «reviving» Aqua Tofana—a 17th-century poison used by women to kill and escape their abusive husbands, according to the Newsweek. The 'MATGA' movement hits out at Trump's popular Make America Great Again (MAGA) slogan.

Aqua Tofana poison contained deadly ingredients like belladonna and arsenic but is said to have been tasteless and kept in cosmetic bottle to go undetected by husbands. On social media, women are using this fear to create videos showing them mockingly adding poison to men's drinks.
