Citi Provident CEO IKEA country Ikea Hyderabad store, its first outlet in India, to breakeven soon, says CEO
Ikea expects its Hyderabad store, the first in the country to achieve operational breakeven soon, the company said on Monday without providing the revenue details. Hyderabad store which was opened in 2018 has witnessed a footfall of three million during the last 12 months period against 2.90 million a year before. However, the figures are not comparable as last year and period before that witnessed a lot of movement restrictions due to COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking to media, Ikea India CEO Susanne Pulverer said the firm is exploring different formats of stores in terms of size, to penetrate the market and get closer to people where they live.

The excise department is headed by Sisodia. The LG reportedly found substantive indications of “financial quid pro quo” at the top political level.

Waters RAI Delhi Village Development Board sanctions 167 schemes worth Rs 115 crore
Delhi Village Development Board on Monday sanctioned 167 schemes to develop roads, drainage systems, community facilities, green spaces, and sports infrastructure in rural areas, according to an official statement. A total of Rs 115.52 crore will be spent on works to be undertaken under these schemes, it said.Delhi minister Gopal Rai, who chairs the board, also issued strict directions to ensure timely completion of all village-centric projects. Pertinent issues surrounding pending and prospective development proposals were also deliberated upon, the statement said. Under the schemes, ponds and water bodies will be augmented to improve water resources.

Software show FDI inflows decline 34% to $10.9 billion in April-June
Foreign direct investment (FDI) into India declined 34% year-on-year to $10.94 billion during April-June this fiscal. FDI inflows were $16.59 billion during April-June 2022-23, data released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) showed. Total FDI inflows, including fresh FDI equity inflows, reinvested earnings and other capital, were $17.56 billion against $22.34 billion a year ago. Singapore was the top source of FDI with inflows of almost $3 billion, followed by the Netherlands, at $1.5 billion.
