New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) on Friday entered into a strategic partnership with Ather Energy to fortify and expand the country’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network. IITs step up measures to address mental wellness of students
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are rebooting the way they connect with students. With close to half a dozen suicides by students at the IITs in 2023 so far, they are also escalating the preventive measures. The fresh initiatives by some of the IITs include student-faculty informal dinners, roping in parents to interact with their wards at least twice a week through WhatsApp, open house meetings, face recognition attendance system to track students in mess and classrooms (to check if they isolate themselves) and having parents stay at the campus where the students face depression.

ITR, according to a LocalCircles survey, 14% of individual income taxpayers admitted that they will not be able to meet the July 31, 2023 deadline. The survey found that 27% eligible taxpayers are yet to file their ITR. For this survey, LocalCircles, a Delhi based market research company, surveyed 12,000 Indians from 315 districts. 41% of these people were from tier-1 cities, 32% from tier-2 and 27% from tier-3,4 cities and rural districts, stated a press release from LocalCircles.

India, Iran set to ink long-term deal on Chabahar port
NEW DELHI : India and Iran are expected to sign a long-term deal for the development of Iran’s Chabahar Port by September before the Global Maritime India Summit 2023 scheduled in New Delhi in October, two people familiar with the matter said. After years of negotiations, Delhi and Tehran are expected to sign a multi-year deal, allowing India to develop the Shahid Beheshti Terminal in the Chabahar port. In 2016, India Ports Global Ltd (IPGL) and Arya Banader of Iran had signed a contract to develop the port.
