Specifically targeting Kejriwal at his first public meeting for Delhi assembly polls, Gandhi said that the AAP convenor was following «Modi's strategy of propaganda and false promises» despite rising pollution, corruption and inflation in the national capital.

Where laws go to die: The case for institutionalised regulatory review in India
India, too, has its share of quirky regulations. Until recently, kite-flying required a permit under the Indian Aircraft Act of 1934, as kites were classified as 'aircraft'. Delhi barbers are still legally obliged to maintain a register of every haircut performed. These outdated laws, often harmless on the surface, highlight a deeper problem: absence of an institutionalised system for regulatory review. Without mechanisms to periodically evaluate and repeal redundant laws, governance becomes riddled with inefficiencies, eroding public trust and creating unnecessary friction.

Delhi elections: Not a contender for any post, says BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri
Ramesh Bidhuri, former MP and BJP's candidate from Kalkaji seat against Delhi CM Atishi, issued a statement on Sunday dismissing as «completely baseless» AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal's claim that he will become the CM if the BJP comes to power. In an «appeal to the people of Delhi», Bidhuri said, «My party has given me a lot; I am not a contender to any post. Arvind Kejriwal has launched a misleading campaign against me. I wish to make it clear that I am not a contender for any post.» Kejriwal's words that Bidhuri may become the chief minister if BJP wins the assembly polls are being seen as an attempt to warn the people of the consequences if this comes true. Bidhuri had made objectionable remarks against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Atishi. Earlier, he had used communal and abusive language against the then BSP MP Danish Ali in the previous Lok Sabha.

Punjab Kings captain: Shreyas Iyer to lead Preity Zinta-owned franchise in IPL 2025
Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday announced India batter Shreyas Iyer as their captain for the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The franchise secured Iyer’s services at the IPL 2025 mega auction for a record-breaking Rs 26.75 crore. Punjab fended off stiff competition from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in an intense bidding war to sign the star batter. While Iyer became the most expensive player in IPL auction history for a brief moment, he was later surpassed by Rishabh Pant, who fetched an even higher bid.
