On Sunday, a two-and-a-half-hour meeting was held between the farmers' representatives with two Punjab ministers, after which agitating farmers declared to lift their blockade. The meeting was held between Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak and Agriculture Minister Gurmit Singh Khudian, leaders of farmers' bodies including Sarwan Singh Pandher of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, Manjit Singh Rai and Satnam Singh Sahni of BKU(D) and ADGP (Law & Order) SPS Parmar, DIG (Border Range) Satinder Singh and other officials.

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai emphasised the urgent need to tackle air pollution across northern India, calling the next 15 days «crucial». Following a key meeting with the Central government on Friday, Rai held a press conference on Saturday. The meeting, attended by Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Bhupender Yadav, along with environment ministers from neighbouring states, aimed to assess and address the worsening air quality in the region. Rai expressed concern over the delay in this year's meeting and said, «Last year, a similar meeting was held in August, allowing us more time to strategise. »This year's meeting took place in the last week of October. Supreme Court has stayed an order of the Allahabad High Court which imposed costs of Rs 1 lakh on an advocate for wasting the court's «precious time» and arguing a case wearing a lawyer's robe and a band despite being a petitioner in-person. A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan issued limited notice on whether adverse remarks made by the high court against advocate Mehmood Pracha need to be expunged. «Issue notice for the limited purpose as to why the observations made by the high court against the petitioner be not expunged and why the order imposing cost be not set aside, returnable on December 9, 2024. »Meanwhile, the impugned order dated September 10, 2024, to the extent of imposition of cost shall remain stayed," the bench directed.
