Chennithala who attended the Congress' Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting in Delhi on Friday, Chennithala said that party leader Balasaheb Thorat will meet with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and NCP-SP Chief Sharad Pawar today to sort out all the issues. «All is well in MVA. We are going to fight the election together. There is no problem in MVA. The problem is in Mahayuti.We are all together. We are working out a formula. By tomorrow evening (Saturday), all the seats will be declared,» Chennithala told late last night.

Authorities warn that pollution levels may worsen as the festival approaches, potentially reaching hazardous levels within the next few days. A layer of smog engulfed certain parts of the national capital. The AQI recorded on Friday was 283 AQI today in ITI Jahangirpuri read 265 while AQI around India gate area was recorded at 237 which fell in the 'poor' category. The AQI at India Gate improved slightly, being recorded at 276 on Friday.

The double daily flights to and fro Kolkata will commence on December 1, it said, adding that bookings are now open on the airline's website, mobile app, and other major booking channels. The first flight from Port Blair to Kolkata will take off at 8.35am and reach Kolkata at 10.45am. The second flight will leave Port Blair at 12.20pm and reach Kolkata at 2.35pm. On the other hand, the first flight from Kolkata to Port Blair will take off at 5.40am and reach Port Blair at 7.50 am. The second one will start at 9.20am and reach at 11.40am, the airline statement said.

Delhi Assembly in the past one year till April 8, a survey report claimed on Thursday. The Delhi MLA Report Card 2024 prepared by Praja Foundation, an NGO, said the scope of the survey was expanded to evaluate the consolidated performance of the legislators who served in the Assembly for a minimum of three years. The report card assessed the performance of the MLAs from March 17, 2023 to April 8, 2024. All the eight MLAs who did not raise a single question during this period belong to the AAP. Two of them, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, were in judicial custody during the period under review. BJP MLA Ramvir Singh Bidhuri secured the first position in raising questions with a score of 81.81 per cent, followed by Bhupinder Singh Joon of the AAP at 78.77 per cent, and Rajesh Gupta, also from AAP, at 74.55 per cent, the report said.

Delhi High Court on Thursday sought the response of the Centre on a plea seeking a regulatory framework to regulate the resale of concert tickets through authorised platforms and avoid illegal selling activities. A bench of Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela issued notice to Union ministries of Information and Broadcasting and Electronics, and Information Technology, private entities Stubhub Inc, Viagogo Entertainment Inc and Bigtree Entertainment Pvt Ltd on the petition. The court said the replies would have to be filed within four weeks and posted the hearing on February 18, 2025, when a similar petition would be heard. The petition further sought a direction to the Centre to block unlawful online platforms involved in the purported illegal and unauthorised sale of tickets in India.
