IPL auction 2024: The mini-auction of the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to be conducted on Tuesday in Dubai at the Coca-Cola Arena. In total 333 players will go under the hammer and the teams will spend around ₹250 crore to fill the 77 available slots in their team. The IPL auction 2024 is expected to witness some intense bidding war and the performances of players in the ICC World Cup 2023 will surely be accounted for.

Hyderabad Auto & Taxi Drivers Association on Monday announced the launch of a new ride-hailing app Yaary, backed by the government’s Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) protocols. The app has been built by Hyderabad-based startup Yaary, founded by former fintech professionals. Yaary has already onboarded over 20,000 auto and taxi drivers in Hyderabad, and is collaborating with various other driver associations across other cities to launch similar mobility apps, it said in a statement.

GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport, said people with knowledge of the matter, paving the way for the GMR Group to build its fourth airport in the country. GMR Airports currently operates the Delhi, Hyderabad and Goa airports in India, and an airport each in the Philippines and Indonesia. Among the five lenders, REC has sanctioned the highest amount of Rs 1,245 crore, followed by India Infrastructure Finance Company (IIFCL) (Rs 860 crore) and Exim Bank (Rs 455 crore), the people said. The other two members in the consortium are Central Bank of India which sanctioned Rs 364 crore and Bank of Maharashtra that has agreed to lend Rs 291 crore, the people said. The project cost, estimated to be Rs 4,727 crore, would be funded by Rs 3,215 crore debt of debt, equity and equity-linked instruments of Rs 1,377 crore and an Andhra Pradesh government grant of Rs 135 crore.

Lok Sabha, Union Road Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari said budgetary allocation of the road ministry has increased from about Rs 31,130 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 2,70,435 crore in 2023-24. Such increased budgetary allocation led to expansion of the National Highway (NH) network in the country from about 91,287 km in March 2014 to about 1,46,145 km at present, Gadkari added.
