NEW DELHI : The Union health ministry is working on a national plan to combat anti-microbial resistance (AMR) that is becoming a public health threat, a government official aware of the matter said. The ministry has formed a high-level committee to develop a National Action Plan Anti-Microbial Resistance 2.0 (NAP AMR), the official said on condition of anonymity. AMR occurs when bacteria, viruses and fungi become immune to medication over time, making it harder to treat ailments.

In a report titled ‘Strengthening multilateral development banks-the triple agenda’ presented to the G20 finance ministers and central bank governors, a nine-member committee argued that development banks should engage with the private sector in a new way, including by co-creating investment opportunities and programmes.

The release of the TCRM Matrix framework under the NITI Working Paper series offers valuable insights and practical intelligence to stakeholders involved in the technology development cycle.  The Working Paper casts light on the historical evolution of technology assessment frameworks, including the Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Commercialization Readiness Level (CRL), and Market Readiness Level (MRL) scales.  “By building upon these frameworks‘ core principles, the TCRM Matrix framework presents an integrated assessment model that offers in-depth insights and actionable intelligence to stakeholders at every stage of the technology development cycle," the NITI Aayog said in a statement.

New Delhi: The Indian crude oil basket which was largely subdued in May and June has witnessed over 4% increase in its average price in July amid global supply concerns. The average Indian crude basket for July stands at $78.22 per barrel, compared to $74.93 a barrel in June. In May, it averaged at $74.98 a barrel as prices eased amid growing concerns of a global slowdown.
