'Ghee is the best fat burner in the world': Longevity expert Prashant Desai explains health benefits of Ghee, video goes viral
Ghee has gone viral on social media. Everstone Group director Prashant Desai, in a podcast with YouTuber Raj Shamani, said that Ghee is the best fat burner in the world. «Ghee is saturated fat, but it's not like any other saturated fat. Ghee has such a unique structure, the double bond of carbon. It's a fat burner,» Desai said. Desai said that Ghee reduces the visceral fat of the body. «If you eat ghee with roti, your glucose spike will be much lower. If you are not eating ghee roti, you are doing the biggest disservice to the country,» he said. «I eat four spoons of ghee in my coffee first thing when I wake up,» he added. To prove his point Desai also said that the claims are scientifically proven? He said that he has shared three LinkedIn posts and two videos on ghee.

Infant food formulation done on global basis, racial stereotype charges unfortunate: Nestle
Nestle India Chairman & Managing Director Suresh Narayanan on Monday asserted that the company's infant food formulation for children below 18 months is done on a global basis and the allegation that «it is racially stereotyped is unfortunate» and untrue. Addressing reporters here, he said the amount of sugar content in infant foods is determined by the capability to meet the nutrition profile of a particular age group and that is universal. Nestle India's added sugar content in Cerelac is much lower than the upper limit prescribed by FSSAI, he added. «There is nothing in this product that makes it a product that is potentially of any risk or any kind of harm to the child,» he said.

‘Rally in aluminium co shares may take a pause’
base metal are unlikely to gain much from current levels, said experts. Shares of Hindalco, Vedanta and National Aluminium Co ended higher on Friday even as the Nifty Metal index, and benchmarks Nifty 50 and Sensex ended in the red. “Those holding the shares of these companies can continue to do so, but I would not suggest buying these shares at the current levels, except for Vedanta, where investors need to maintain a strict stop loss,” said Aditya Welekar, analyst at Axis Securities. “We are at a level where a large part of the rally has already happened,” he said.

Student visas on high priority; don't see numbers going backwards in our lifetime, says US
In a recent interview at the American Center, US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, highlighted the United States' commitment to expediting the visa process for Indian students. This reflects a broader strategy to strengthen people-to-people ties, recognizing their significance in fostering long-lasting relationships between the two nations. Garcetti noted that US President Joe Biden instructed him to reduce visa wait times for Indians, underscoring the high priority given to this matter. «It's the first time, I think, in American history that a President has told an ambassador to get those visa waiting times down,» Garcetti remarked. The US Mission is working to ensure that more Indian students can pursue education in the US, anticipating an increase in visa applications this year.

University uproar: The US loses credibility on free speech
The police crackdown on protests against the Gaza War in American universities, where students were staging sit-ins to demand a rollback of policies seen to be supportive of Israel’s offensive that has left over 35,000 Palestinians dead so far, leaves one aghast. Reminiscent of how the 1960s’ peace protests over the Vietnam War were thwacked back, cops used the sort of brutal force that makes the country’s claims of free-speech tolerance ring hollow across a globe that the US says is seeing a clash of democracy and autocracy, with America on the side of freedom.
