Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha over alleged inaccuracies in his speech, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said any member trying to mislead the House will not get away easily and the «rules will get them». Rijiju was referring to a notice submitted in Lok Sabha by BJP member Bansuri Swaraj urging the Speaker to take cognisance of her notice against certain inaccuracies in Gandhi's speech on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address. «When the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha kept on lying on many things, including facts and figures, a notice was put to the Speaker and we have requested the Speaker to take appropriate action. We are waiting for the action,» Rijiju said in response to questions on the issue. The minister said rules apply equally to everyone as no member is above the Chair in the House.

Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Waikar in a hotel redevelopment case, Shiv Sena (UBT) Leader Sanjay Raut remarked on Saturday that it seems even Dawood might receive a clean chit soon. «What else can happen? Now the only one left to receive a clean chit is Dawood. Ravindra Waikar deserted Uddhav Thackeray to join the Shinde group out of fear of the ED,» Raut stated. Waikar, his wife, and four close associates were implicated in a case registered by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) were detained by Chennai Police on Saturday for staging a protest on the main road outside the hospital where the body of slain BSP leader K Armstrong was brought for an autopsy. WestJet says it’s cancelled at least 150 flights beginning Saturday after the union maintaining the airline’s planes announced it went on strike hours earlier.The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) announced its members started to strike around 5:30 p.m. MDT Friday because the airline’s “unwillingness to negotiate with the union made the strike inevitable.”The move came after the federal government issued a ministerial order for binding arbitration on Thursday.The order also followed two weeks of turbulent discussions with the union on a new deal.Calgary-based WestJet has lambasted the move by the mechanics union, saying it’s “extremely outraged at these actions and will hold AMFA 100 per cent accountable for the unnecessary stress and costs incurred as a result.”On Thursday, WestJet said that AMFA “confirmed they will abide by the direction.
