Provident Citizens Aware Action WhatsApp information rights Risk losing inheritance if parents, seniors not cared for, says Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda
Krishna Byre Gowda on Wednesday. Under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, by the central government, any will or gift deed made in favor of neglectful children can be legally revoked, he said while speaking in the Legislative Council. «In recent times, we have seen a growing number of cases where elderly parents are left without care,» Gowda said while responding to a question from Balkees Banu, a member of the council. " If children or relatives neglect their elderly parents, the seniors have the legal right to revoke any will or gift deed made in their name,” he added. The Central Government enacted the law in 2007, but awareness remains low, the minister noted. The legislation mandates that children or relatives must provide financial and medical support to senior citizens. If they fail to do so, elderly parents can file a complaint under Section 9, after which authorities can take action. “If a complaint is proven, and children or relatives who have inherited property fail to take care of their parents, Section 23 allows for the cancellation of any will or gift deed made in their favor, restoring ownership to the parents,’ Gowda informed. The responsibility for handling these cases lies with the sub-divisional officers. The revenue minister stressed that thousands of such cases are already being heard by the officers

markets UPS Action wellness Cycling show NBFCs and commodities to drive market rebound: Rohit Srivastava
«If we do make a higher low than the low that we made last time and then manage to move up from there, that would be a very-very positive sign for the overall market,» says Rohit Srivastava, Founder, Strike Money Analytics & Indiacharts. Yes, we just tend to get happy too soon, too quick when you look at the markets, a mild bit of rebound, and you are really pretty enthused and kicked about it thinking that maybe things are actually turning for better. Once again, a down day now. Rohit Srivastava: I do think things are turning for better. If you look at the last two-three days of price action in India and across Asia, what you will really witness is that most of the markets are resilient in the face of US-based news flow and volatility, which is partly because a lot of the selling in India and Asia was already going on since the month of October. In some parts of the world, even since June and July. So, many of the markets had already corrected. The US stock market is the last one to correct. Whatever the reasons may be, but if we just put it in the broader light of what has been happening, if there was a correction overdue in the world, it happened in other world markets first and it is happening in the US last and so that is why you are not seeing such a big impact of the US volatility now.

Speaking at Moscow's Higher School of Economics, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov cautioned against people getting excited about the prospect of Elon Musk cutting off the Ukrainian military from his Starlink communications system or about Trump's decision last week to suspend military aid to Kyiv. «Don't rush to put on rose-tinted spectacles,» Peskov told the audience. «We always need to hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. And we must always be ready to defend our interests.» Peskov issued his warning as U.S. officials prepared to meet with a Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia later on Tuesday, in part to determine whether Ukraine is willing to make material concessions to Russia to end the war. Peskov said that Russia was achieving its aims on the battlefield in Ukraine, regardless of what decisions the U.S. was taking. He said the amount of weapons circulating in Ukraine was so large that Kyiv had enough to keep fighting for many months despite the suspension of U.S. deliveries.
