COST Citi Digital Parke RAI Centre Anant Raj to invest Rs 10,000 crore for 300 MW data centre
real estate developer Anant Raj Limited plans to develop 300 MW data centre buildings with a total investment of ₹10,000 crore in the next few years, said its managing director Amit Sarin. Having previously constructed three IT buildings in Manesar, Rai and Panchkula in Haryana, the company is presently in the process of transforming these structures into data centres, he told ET. «The three projects possess the potential to accommodate 300 MW of data, and we benefit from having pre-existing structures that simply need to be adapted to meet the specifications essential for a data centre. The initial phase of Manesar Park is ready with a 21 MW capacity, and the complete project is designed for a total capacity of 50 MW,» said Sarin. Industry experts have projected a demand for about 20 million square feet of data centre space across key cities in the next four-five years. Anant Raj holds 1.2 million square feet in Manesar on a 10-acre site, 2.1 million square feet on a 25-acre plot in Rai (with the possibility of doubling capacity) and 500,000 square feet on a 10-acre land in Panchkula (with expansion options). «In Manesar, we have the potential to reach 50 MW, while Rai can accommodate a 200 MW data centre.

Citi Provident Extreme Gap Sony rock 'Darwaze pe dastak', food vigil by mess workers: Kota police's new attempt at checking student suicides
Kota (Raj): Rocked by a spate of student suicides, the coaching hub of Kota is roping in wardens, mess workers and tiffin service providers to look for any signs of depression or stress among the students staying in hostels and PG accommodations. While the wardens are being encouraged to participate actively in the 'Darwaze pe dastak' (knock on door) campaign, the city police has urged the mess workers and tiffin providers to report if a student is repetitively absent from the mess and skipping meals or anyone's tiffin is found unconsumed. «We have launched a campaign called 'Darwaze pe dastak' where we are encouraging wardens to make it a routine to knock on each students' door at around 11 pm, ask them if they are okay, notice their activities, and keep a vigil just to ensure that there are no signs of stress, depression or abnormal activity. »After coaching, the students spend maximum time in hostels, and hence wardens should be the first one to notice the signs," Chandrasheel Thakur, ASP, Kota told PTI. Over 2.5 lakh students move to Kota annually to prepare for competitive exams such as the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for engineering and the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical colleges.
