Congress 'shahi parivar' hell bent on breaking OBC-ST-SC unity to snatch reservations: PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked the Congress, accusing that its 'shahi parivar' (royal family) is hell bent on breaking the ST-SC-OBC unity to «snatch reservations under an evil design». Addressing an election rally at Gumla, he accused the JMM-led coalition of looting the state's rich resources such as minerals, forest, sand and coal, putting 'Roti-Beti-Mati' (bread, land and daughter) at grave threat. He also accused the ruling dispensation of fuelling illegal immigration. «The Congress knows that if STs, SCs and OBCs are united, they will pose a threat to the party's existence. This is the reason the Congress 'shahi parivar' is hell bent on break their unity… They want to snatch reservations. »The Congress is trying to pit one tribal community against another… Munda against Oraon, Lohra against Kharia, Kharwar against Korwa etc. with an agenda to break the tribal society's strength," he said.

CJI DY Chandrachud's legacy: His powerful statements during same-sex marriage judgment echoed with the queer community
Chandrachud retires on November 10, he will leave with one of the most significant legacies in the history of the Supreme Court. There has never been a CJI as prolific as Chandrachud in terms of judicial output. He has written 92 judgments as CJI, more than his last 4 predecessors put together. To put things in perspective, the last CJI who served a similar 2-year term, SH Kapadia authored 27 judgments, less than a third of Chandrachud. “This is a testament to how incredibly hard-working Chandrachud has been as CJI,” wrote Anrghya Sengupta Research Director, Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, for TOI. The 50th CJI played a pivotal role in several crucial cases, including the decision where a 5-judge bench headed by him unanimously ruled against legalising same-sex marriage in India.

While it’s hard to pin down the start of 4B, it’s believed to have begun around 2017, but gained traction in 2018 when protests erupted around the country in response to a spy cam epidemic and grew into a #MeToo-esque feminist phenomenon. On Wednesday, Google searches for “4B” spiked by 450 per cent in the U.S., with the most interest coming from Washington D.C., Colorado, Vermont and Minnesota.
