CIBIL score: What are the consequences of having no credit history?
Having no CIBIL score, or a credit file with limited credit history, can lead to a number of consequences. Banks usually subject applicants with no credit history to additional layer of scrutiny. Alternatively, they can even ask for additional documentation to evaluate their creditworthiness. This tends to make the application process lengthier and cumbersome.

Jio now world's top mobile operator by data traffic
Jio has now emerged as the world's largest mobile operator in data traffic consumption, surpassing China Mobile. The total traffic on the Jio network has reached 40.9 exabytes compared with China Mobile's 38 exabytes during the January-March quarter, according to global analytics firm Tefficient. Jio also holds the second largest 5G subscriber base globally at 108 million, with more than 28% of its total wireless data traffic now being consumed by 5G users, the company said in its analyst presentation. To be sure, Jio's average revenue per user (ARPU) also reflects the impact of subscriber additions of JioBharat phone users, who are value customers, and the unlimited 5G promotional plans. Analysts say Jio's strong pace of user additions and consequent market share gains will augur well for revenue conversion in near term, as and when tariff hikes are undertaken. They expect tariff hikes of 20-25% soon after the upcoming general elections, which end early June.

Not just stocks, FPIs turn net sellers in debt market after a year. What's the stress?
FPIs have turned net sellers not just in the Indian equity market but also in the debt market for the first time since March last year. «A major trend in FPI activity this month is that FPIs have turned sellers into debt after sustained buying for several months. In April through 20th, FPIs sold debt worth Rs 12,885 crore. This again is the consequence of the rising US bond yields and the concern regarding rupee depreciation,» said Dr. V K Vijayakumar of Geojit Financial Services.

Indiabulls HF seeks review of SC order on ED's powers
Indiabulls Housing Finance has sought a review of the Supreme Court's February order that allegedly gave wide powers to the Enforcement Directorate to even investigate cases where there exists no scheduled offence under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). A bench led by Justice Surya Kant asked the company to share a copy of its review petition with the Attorney General. Indiabulls in its review petition stated that the apex court on February 12 while disposing of the criminal appeals had «mistakenly enlarged the scope of the powers of the ED beyond the permissible mandate of the PMLA law, and that it is also in conflict with the well settled law in the Vijay Madanlal Choudhary vs Un-ion of India case.»
