Brazilian influencer who spent $1 million to look like Kim Kardashian says butt lift surgery left her infertile
Jennifer Pamplona, a Brazilian influencer who has spent over $1 million on cosmetic procedures to look like Kim Kardashian, is now sounding the alarm on the dangers of butt fillers. Known for her extensive surgery history, Pamplona has recently shared a stark warning about the risks associated with butt lift fillers, particularly those containing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). Pamplona, a self-proclaimed “surgery addict,” revealed that her use of PMMA, a material commonly used in butt lift fillers, has severely impacted her health. Although her infertility cannot be directly linked to PMMA, complications from the filler are believed to be associated with either improper application or an adverse reaction. According to the New York Post, PMMA can migrate from the injection site to other areas, including the pelvic region, potentially affecting reproductive organ function. Pamplona recounted a troubling experience a decade ago when PMMA spread from her buttocks to her reproductive organs during a bioplasty procedure. This migration has contributed to her current fertility issues. “I always dreamed of being a mother. Unfortunately, I now find myself unable to fulfil this dream due to the complications caused by PMMA,” she told Need To Know.

Paralympics 2024: Don’t treat us differently
Asked what was wrong, Kathuniya said, “I am not happy. If I tell you that I was regularly throwing 47-48m in practice, you will think I am lying. But that’s the truth and I should have done much better here. I am not happy with my effort. I did not win the silver here; I lost the gold.” “You just don’t want people to come and say ‘arre kya hua hai, silver toh aaya (what happened, you got silver)’. Silver aane ke liye yahan nahi aaye the, gold jitne ke liye aaye the (I didn’t come here to win silver, I came to win gold).” His disappointment was palpable. It was interesting to see someone not celebrating a silver medal.

Gen Z male voters vouch for Donald Trump, to vote for him in the November U.S. presidential polls
Gen Z men endorsing Trump is a sign of the ongoing culture shock in US politics. With fresh polls revealing a stark difference in preference between young male and female voters that could play a major role in the presidential election, all eyes are on Generation Z. According to polls conducted earlier this month by the New York Times and Siena College, there is a significant gender difference in the political preferences of voters between the ages of 18 and 29, with more women supporting Vice President Kamala Harris for president while men in the same age range prefer former President Trump. According to polling, the difference of 51 points between Gen Z male and female voters is by far the greatest of any previous generation. Also Read: Parish Season 2: When will new episodes release? 'Dream Bazaar' turns into a nightmare: Mob loots Karachi mall in minutes; Video goes viral
Karachi, Dream Bazaar Mall, experienced chaos on its opening day when a large mob of people surged into the building, leading to vandalism and looting. The incident, which occurred on September 1, 2024, was marked by the apparent absence of police, leaving mall staff helpless in managing the unruly crowd. Videos of the chaos have since gone viral on social media. Dream Bazaar Mall, located in the Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi, was an ambitious project initiated by a Pakistani businessman living abroad. The mall's opening had generated significant anticipation due to special discounts offered to attract customers. The excitement quickly turned into disorder shortly after the mall opened its doors at 3pm. As soon as the gates were unlocked, a massive crowd surged forward, overwhelming the security personnel and forcing their way into the mall. According to videos circulating on social media, the frenzied crowd began vandalizing property and looting stores. They were seen attacking the security personnel who were attempting to control the situation.

Hema Committee report: Kerala must provide women with a safe and equitable workspace
Justice K Hema Committee report, a poignant section stands out. Narrating her experience, a junior artist describes incidents of male actors harassing her. Apart from the acting parts, she lost out when she rejected sexual propositioning. She also mentions how she worked on a script for the big screen, pouring her heart into it every night after a long day's work. When she is told that this, too, would happen only if she was willing to 'adjust' and 'compromise' — the despicable industry bro code for demands for sex — she gives up on her dream. The 3-member Hema Committee was set up by the Kerala government in 2017 to 'study and report' issues faced by women in cinema, following persistent efforts of the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) after the sexual assault of a prominent female actor. After the report's court-ordered release recently, the Malayalam film industry is caught in an unprecedented churn. Multiple women have drawn courage from the report's release to publicly share their accounts about the sexual harassment. Some FIRs have been filed, and an SIT has been set up. But how will we measure the number of careers cut short and dreams turned to dust by men controlling the industry — whether opportunities denied to an award-winning actor like Parvathy Thiruvothu or a makeup artist?

Futures, options, and financial ruin: Inside India's F&O trading craze
Trading quickly became a habit, and Sharma soon felt his dream of achieving financial independence—generating a corpus of Rs 1 crore—was getting closer to reality. But today, Sharma’s account is bleeding red, having racked up losses of Rs 60 lakh, roughly equal to his annual salary. Meanwhile, the habit that started as a cool hobby has now turned into pure addiction. “I just can’t stop! I know I should stop trading for the day if it is not going according to my plan. I know the game is rigged, that most traders lose money… I have all the wisdom, but I am not able to turn my eyes away from the computer screen. I’m addicted to it now like a moth to the flame,” says Sharma, who is the sole breadwinner in his family of five.

Netflix, Peacock, MAX, Hulu, Paramount+ release new movies, shows. Here's list
Netflix, Peacock, MAX, Hulu, Paramount+ are releasing new movies and shows for OTT streaming platform viewers this week. One of the movies is Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt-starrer «The Fall Guy». Adam Sandler has the feels in his new Netflix special «Adam Sandler: Love You» featuring his standup and trademark comedy songs. It’s directed by Josh Safdie who — with his brother Benny — co-directed Sandler in the 2019 movie «Uncut Gems». «Love You» is Sandler’s first comedy special since 2018. It premieres Tuesday on Netflix. «The Fall Guy» is finally coming to Peacock, where it will be streaming starting Friday, August 30, alongside an “extended cut” version. It might not have reached the blockbuster heights the studio dreamed about during its theatrical run, but it’s pure delight: A comedy, action, romance that soars thanks to the charisma of its stars. Based on the 1980s Lee Majors television series (he gets a cameo), the film features Ryan Gosling as a stunt man, Emily Blunt as his director and dream girl, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as an egotistical movie star and “Ted Lasso’s” Hannah Waddingham as a Diet Coke slurping producer.

What artists’ childhoods can tell us
Meera Mukherjee: Breaking Moulds, there is a lovely anecdote about how the late sculptor’s tryst with art started. “It all began at the chaukhat of their home in Calcutta. Meera sat with her Maa to decorate the doorway with alponas while the rest of the house was bustling with the celebrations of Laxmi Pujo," writes author Vaishali Shroff in this book from Art1st Book’s Art Exploration series meant for kids aged eight-plus, illustrated beautifully by Shivam Choudhary.

Insha Ghai Kalra's husband, 29, dies of sudden cardiac arrest: What causes heart attacks in apparently healthy, young people?
Insha Ghai Kalra has dispelled fake news regarding the death of her husband, Ankit Kalra. Ankit, an interior designer and social media influencer, passed away suddenly on August 19. Although she did not divulge the reason behind his demise, the influencer hinted it may have been a heart attack. “Ankit, you left me to be with God, and it's so unfair. Our 1.5 years together were far too short. That morning, I had no idea it would be our last. I'm still in denial, praying that this is all just a terrible dream and I'll wake up on your side. Your heart gave up, and with it, my life has come to a stop. We had so many plans, and now I'm lost without you. This can't be true. You left me behind, and it's a loss I'll never overcome! Heaven is so so lucky to have you,“ she wrote. This gave rise to many speculations as to what could have caused his death. Insha later took to Instagram to issue a clarification and debunk fake news. “To all those who make fake assumptions. He was a healthy person and had no medical history. It was an unexpected and sudden cardiac arrest while sleeping. So please, if you can not support the family in their tough times, please don't overshare fake news,” she wrote.
