"Arvind Kejriwal didn't do anything for women in last 10 years," says Delhi Assembly LoP Vijender Gupta
BJP leader and Delhi Assembly LoP Vijender Gupta slammed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and claimed that he has done nothing for women in the last ten years of tenure. Gupta also cited the example of Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case and further said that many of AAP MLAs have not even been nice to their wives. «Arvind Kejriwal is rattled. He didn't do anything for women in the last 10 years. He got Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal assaulted in his home. His MLAs have not even been nice to their wives. Now they are lying and playing with the emotions of women… He had 10 years if he truly wanted to do something for women, why is he cheating on women now… Delhi's only problem is Arvind Kejriwal..,» Vijender Gupta told ANI.

Donald Trump threatens to try to take back the Panama Canal. Panama's president balks at the suggestion
Donald Trump suggested Sunday that his new administration could try to regain control of the Panama Canal that the United States «foolishly» ceded to its Central American ally, contending that shippers are charged «ridiculous» fees to pass through the vital transportation channel linking the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Panama's conservative president Jose Raul Mulino, who was elected in May on a pro-business platform, roundly rejected that notion as an affront to his country's sovereignty. The Republican president-elect's comment came during his first major rally since winning the White House on Nov. 5. He also basked in his return to power as a large audience of conservatives cheered along. It was a display of party unity at odds with a just-concluded budget fight on Capitol Hill, where some GOP lawmakers openly defied their leader's demands.

NDA to contest 2025 Bihar assembly polls under CM Nitish, PM Modi: Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Samrat Choudhary said on Sunday. «There is no confusion,» he said during a press conference at the BJP headquarters when asked to comment on speculation that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could do a rethink on projecting Kumar as its leader in the polls. He was responding to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's recent interview to a news channel in which he was asked if the NDA could go to the polls in Bihar without declaring a chief ministerial candidate, like it recently did with great success in Maharashtra. Shah, a former BJP president who is still regarded as the party's principal strategist, had replied after a pause, «We will sit together and decide. We will let you know after we have made a decision.»

Modi govt's ' calibrated erosion' of EC's integrity: Kharge on election rule
Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday hit out at the government for tweaking an election rule to prevent public inspection of certain electronic documents, alleging it is part of the Modi government's «systematic conspiracy» to destroy the institutional integrity of the Election Commission. Kharge also said the Modi government's «calibrated erosion» of the ECI's integrity is a frontal attack on the Constitution and democracy. The government has tweaked an election rule to prevent public inspection of certain electronic documents such as CCTV camera and webcasting footage as well as video recordings of candidates to prevent their misuse. Based on the recommendation of the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Union law ministry on Friday amended Rule 93(2)(a) of the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, to restrict the type of «papers» or documents open to public inspection.

UK 2024: Rishi Sunak exits Downing Street, successor Keir Starmer revives hope for free trade agreement with India
Rishi Sunak surprised many within his own Conservative Party by calling an earlier-than-expected election on July 4 — exactly a month on from a third term win for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's National Democratic Alliance. This meant the FTA talks, having entered their 14th round of intense negotiations, slipped into a more uncertain phase until the new Labour Party-led government committed itself to «deepening our bilateral ties». «We agreed to raise the ambition of our UK-India comprehensive strategic partnership… Crucially, this work will start with trade and investment, and I am pleased to say that we agreed to relaunch Free Trade Agreement negotiations early in the new year,» said newly-elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer after his first meeting with Modi on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Brazil last month.

We are also ready to contest solo or with Congress: NCP SCP's Prashant Jagtap on upcoming BMC polls
Prashant Jagtap on Sunday made it clear that his party is ready to contest the upcoming Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections solo if their alliance partner, Shiv Sena (UBT), decides to go alone. This comes after Sanjay Raut hinted that Shiv Sena (UBT) might contest the elections solo, as party workers are demanding it. However, Jagtap emphasized that while NCP (SCP) prefers to contest in alliance, they are capable of going solo if needed. He also stressed that their primary goal is to stop the BJP from spreading its influence in Maharashtra and the country. «If Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sanjay Raut are talking differently, we are also ready to contest (the upcoming local body elections) solo or with Congress,» Jagtap told ANI.

They (Delhi ministers) should have been in jail by now....» «The liquor scam has nothing to do with the elections. The probe has been going on for 2-3 years.
