Balwinder S Bhunder has convened an emergency meeting of the Working Committee of the party on November 18 to consider Sukhbir Singh Badal's resignation from the party's President post. SAD leader Daljit Singh Cheema said that the Working Committee meeting will also discuss the party's next course of action, including the conduct of elections for the new President. Election Commission of India has prohibited the sale of alcohol across Mumbai and other Maharashtra cities for four days in the election season. The order is to conduct the polls smoothly. Earlier, Mumbai, along with other cities in Maharashtra like Thane and Pune, witnessed a dry day on November 12 due to the occasion of Kartik Ekadashi. Dry days refer to the specific days of the when the sale of alcohol remains completely prohibited in a region. Election Commission of India on Saturday has sent separate letters to BJP President JP Nadda and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, asked each one to comment on the complaint of the other.
