LTIMindtree reported 8% year-on-year growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 1,251 crore in the quarter ended September 2024. Revenue from operations in the reporting period rose 6% year-on-year to Rs 9,433 crore. The company's board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 20 per share and fixed October 25 as the record date for the same. The said dividend will be paid within 30 days of the announcement.

This amendment aims to assist taxpayers in reducing their income tax liability by allowing them to claim the credit, rather than the person who originally paid the money, for the income to which it is attributed. The CBDT made this amendment via a notification dated October 16, 2024. In a majority verdict, the Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the constitutional validity of Section 6A of the Citizenship Act which grants Indian citizenship to immigrants who came to Assam between January 1, 1966 and March 25, 1971. A five-judge Constitution Bench, headed by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, said the Assam Accord was a political solution to the problem of illegal migration.
