Another 30% is for non-institutional investors such as corporates, while the remaining 10% is for institutional buyers.

Ventive Hospitality, a joint venture between the world's largest private equity firm Blackstone Group and Pune-based Panchshil Realty, is looking at filing a draft prospectus for an initial public offering in the next couple of weeks, according to sources close to the development. Karnataka is expected to pitch for GST exemption on health and life insurance only on such products used by the working and lower middle classes at the upcoming GST Council meeting. The Congress-ruled state is not in favour of a blanket exemption on premium insurance products bought by the higher income groups, according to Krishna Byre Gowda, the state’s revenue minister who represents the southern state on the GST Council. “We are open to the issue,” he told ET, responding to queries on demands for the removal of 18% GST on life and health insurance premium. “We will suggest health and life insurance, which are more of a working class and lower middle class issue, should be looked at positively, regardless of revenue considerations,” Gowda said.

ministry of labour and employment has written to all state governments urging them to include migrant workers, building workers, beedi workers, cine workers, non-coal mine workers, contract labourers, and other unorganised workers under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). This comes after the union cabinet recently approved the extension of the PMAY for an additional five years, from FY 2024-25 to 2028-29, with the aim of providing two crore additional houses to eligible beneficiaries, the ministry said in a statement issued on Tuesday. According to the statement, the ministry is of the view that these workers represent a disadvantaged section of society and ensuring their coverage under PMAY is not only a matter of social justice but also a necessary step towards improving their living conditions.

Aerospace (FWDA) on Tuesday announced the successful maiden flight of indigenous unmanned bomber aircraft, the FWD 200B. Classified as a Medium Altitude (15,000 feet) Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), the FWD 200B is equipped with optical payloads for surveillance and missile-like weapons for air strikes and bombing, the FWDA Founder and CEO Suhas Tejaskanda told reporters here. «The aircraft's aerodynamics design, airframe, propulsion systems, controls systems, electronics are all made in India at FWDA's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of 12,000 sq.ft built on 1.5 acre land, located at Electronic City, Bengaluru,» he said. FWD 200B features a wingspan of five metres and a length of 3.5 metres. It has a maximum take-off weight of 102 kg and a payload capacity of 30 kg, the company said.

IIM-Ahmedabad's one-year MBA programme for executives (PGPX) faced challenges this year amid a global slowdown, with the highest maximum earning potential (MEP) offered at Rs 54.8 lakh per annum, marking a six-year low. The highest-ever MEP of Rs 1.08 crore was recorded last year, while the average highest MEP from 2018 to 2022 was Rs 70.56 lakh. In addition, the median MEP increased from Rs 33 lakh in 2023 to Rs 35 lakh in 2024. Out of 147 students, 126 opted for placements, and 121 accepted offers, leaving five unplaced. This is the second instance since the pandemic year 2020 where five students did not secure their desired offers. Three students pursued entrepreneurship, and two joined their family businesses. A total of 105 recruiters participated, with 67 being first-time recruiters. The placement data was shared through the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) report for IIM-A's PGPX programme.
