Hotel sector witnessing not just a cyclical but a structural story: Ashish Jakhanwala, SAMHI Hotels
«So, you have seen the supply come to a level where the incremental new supply is just barely 2% to 6%. It is a fairly stable supply environment and the demand environment is very strong and also fairly long term. So, this is a structural story, not just a cyclical story,» says Ashish Jakhanwala, SAMHI Hotels.I want to understand from you which phase of the business cycle in your mind is the hotel sector right now. Some say that it is coming out of a 10-year bad cycle, so now that it has only been one or two years then, now there are still three-four years to go at least because it is a cyclical industry, but this time there are very strong structural tailwinds. To your mind, how is the visibility on the cycle front? So, I think you are absolutely right.

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s Divorce: All you may want to know
Ariana Grande has officially filed for divorce from Dalton Gomez, as per court documents obtained by Billboard. TMZ first reported the news, stating that Grande filed her petition in Los Angeles County court on September 18, citing «irreconcilable differences.» Gomez also filed his own papers, noting the date of separation as February 20, 2023. In July, it was revealed that Grande and Gomez were ending their two-year marriage. Before their separation, they made efforts to reconcile, but those attempts were unsuccessful. Media outlets like TMZ, People, and Entertainment Tonight mentioned that despite the separation, Grande and Gomez maintained a friendly connection and communicated regularly by phone. The couple started dating in early 2020 but kept their relationship private until May when they publicly acknowledged it. They often appeared together on Grande's Instagram page, eventually announcing their engagement in December. Grande shared the engagement news on December 20 through a series of photos, including a glimpse of her engagement ring. They exchanged vows just five months later, in May 2021. Following their separation, rumors circulated about Grande dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater. Slater, known for his role as SpongeBob SquarePants in the musical, had previously been married to singer Lilly Jay, and they celebrated their four-year wedding anniversary in November 2022. The former couple also has a one-year-old son together.

Bitcoin climbs above $27,000 for the first time since August
Bitcoin extended its rally from last week, rising above $27,000 for the first time since August. Other digital assets followed suit, with smaller tokens such as Solana, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash rallying. The largest digital token had ended positive on Sunday for the first week in five, and increased as much as 3.7% to $27,418 on Monday. Solana gained around 6%, Litecoin rose 6.5% and Bitcoin Cash jumped 8%. The price increases come with the Federal Reserve expected to keep borrowing rates steady when policy makers meet this week. Higher rates tend to reduce the allure of higher risk assets such as cryptocurrencies. “After a prolonged struggle at the psychological support of $25,000, Bitcoin managed to hold steady. Range traders will now be looking to take profits just above $30,000,” said Mati Greenspan, chief executive officer of Quantum Economics. Some analysts are questioning how long this latest rally will last and as reported previously the level investors are watching on Bitcoin is $28,800.

Bank lending to NBFCs jumps 23.6 pc in July to Rs 13.8 lakh crore: Report
credit exposure to non-banking financial companies rose 23.6 per cent on-year to Rs 13.8 lakh crore in July, pushing up their overall share to 9.3 per cent during the month, an analysis of the RBI's monthly data by a ratings agency showed. The month also saw lower borrowings from international markets due to the prevailing elevated global interest rates following tightening of monetary policies by global central banks, according to a note by Care Edge. There has been a consistent upward trend in bank credit to NBFCs in the second half of FY22, coinciding with the phased reopening of the economy after the pandemic.

Five of six Indian wrestlers out of Olympic-quota contention
India's men's freestyle wrestlers cut a sorry figure at the World Championships as five of the six Olympic-quota contenders have exited the prestigious tournament and only Abhimanyu could reach the medal round in the non-Olympic 70kg weight class. What was more disappointing was that the Indian wresters lost to rivals from the nations that are not known for their wrestling prowess, raising suspicion over their fitness before flying to Belgrade. Sachin Mor (79kg) lost his repechage round by technical superiority to North Macedonia's Ahmad Magomedov while Anuj Kumar (65kg) could not even clear the Qualification round, losing 7-8 to Mexico's Austin Klee Gomez. Mexico and North Macedonia are not the nations against whom the Indians are expected to lose their bouts. It has been learnt that Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) had suggested the Sports Ministry to conduct medical examination of the selected wrestlers before sending them for participation, saying that many of them are possibly carrying injuries. «A few of the wrestlers selected are injured, especially 65kg freestyle wrestler.
