Dalal Street Week Ahead: Tread Carefully! Corrective action can take Nifty to 19,000 levels
Nifty oscillated in a 537-point range over the past week. The headline index closed on a negative note, losing 518 points (-2.57%) on a weekly basis. The monthly derivatives expiry is slated for next week, and the coming sessions are likely to stay influenced by rollover-centric activities. The level of 20,200 has now become an intermediate top for the Nifty; as long as this level is not taken out comprehensively, the markets will remain under consolidation and may even see minor corrective retreatments.

Can't use debit card or credit card for online transactions if you don't do this
debit or credit card cannot be used for any online or offline transactions without first enabling the said option (card controls) in the bank's transaction control system through net banking, mobile app, or at the branch. «These changes (card controls) were designed to enhance the security of card transactions and give users more control over how their cards are used. Under the new guidelines, card users can now choose whether to opt in or out of payment modes such as international transactions, online purchases, and contactless payments, set spending limits for different types of transactions, and decide whether they want to allow their cards to be used for domestic or international transactions,» says Sajish Pillai, MD & Head — Assets and Strategic Alliances, Consumer Banking Group, DBS Bank India.

New Parliament building's architecture killed democracy, conversations, says Congress
Congress on Saturday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the architecture of the new Parliament building alleging that it has killed democracy and conversations, a charge the BJP said is an insult to aspirations of 140 crore Indians. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh alleged that the new Parliament building realises the Prime Minister's objectives and should be called a «Modi Multiplex or Modi Marriot». «Perhaps a better use for the new Parliament building will be found after regime change in 2024,» Ramesh claimed in a post on X. «The new Parliament building launched with so much hype actually realises the PM's objectives very well.

BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri abuses BSP MP Danish Ali in LS; BSP MP seeks action against him
BSP MP Danish Ali has said that he may resign from the Lok Sabha if appropriate action is not taken against BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri for his abusive remarks against him in the House on Thursday. Ali wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday, seeking an immediate inquiry into the incident and requested the Speaker to refer the matter to the privileges committee. Bidhuri's slurs on Ali were expunged by the Speaker.
