K P Sharma Oli-led Nepal government to be sworn-in on Monday
K P Sharma Oli, set to become Nepal's new Prime Minister, on Saturday held consultations with his alliance partner Nepali Congress in preparing the list of ministers to be inducted into the new coalition government that is likely to be sworn in on Monday. President Ram Chandra Paudel is expected to appoint Oli, 72, as the new Prime Minister of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML)-Nepali Congress (NC)coalition on Sunday. «However, the President is likely to administer the oath to the new Prime Minister and other members of the cabinet on Monday morning. A small cabinet is likely to be announced on Monday before the oath-taking ceremony starts,» said sources close to the NC and UML. Amid political turmoil in the Himalayan nation, CPN-UML chairman Oli, 72, is set to become prime minister once again after incumbent Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on Friday failed to win a trust vote in Parliament.

View: Gita is all about family, property and inheritance
Bhagavad Gita is very clear. It appears in the first chapter itself. How do we decide who is an insider in a family, and who is an outsider? Who is mine, and who is not mine? As a warrior, Arjun has no problem killing people. But he has a problem killing family members. Krishna helps him overcome his moral issue by analysing what constitutes family, and how it impacts decision-making. This matters in family businesses today as it did in Mahabharat times. How do we separate the personal from the professional? The Bhagavad Gita has nothing to do with violence or non-violence, duty or caste, as many people proclaim. Arjun is only wondering about the ethics of killing family members, since one is supposed to protect one's family, as per social norm. At its core, the Bhagavad Gita is trying to unravel the meaning and significance behind the possessive adjective 'my' and the possessive pronoun 'mine'. Right at the beginning, Dhritrashtra asks, 'What is happening in the battlefield between my sons and the sons of Pandu?' He does not refer to Pandu's children as his nephews, very clearly establishing that he considers them outsiders. But when Arjun expresses himself, his dilemma is that he sees insiders on both sides of the battlefield. There is no outsider here.

Tourist trampled to death by elephants while taking photos in South Africa
South Africa was killed on Sunday when he allegedly exited a vehicle to take photos of wild elephants at a national park and was trampled by the herd, local authorities said Tuesday. The 43-year-old tourist, who was not named, was visiting Pilanesberg National Park in North West province with his fiancée and two other people. The man’s death is at least the third elephant-related fatality involving tourists in Africa in the last four months.Park officials told police the man left his vehicle, which is not allowed, and approached the elephants to take photos. The herd included three calves.North West province’s Parks and Tourism Board confirmed the incident and said an adult female elephant was first to charge at the man.In a statement obtained by the Associated Press, the board said the man “was unfortunately not able to escape or evade the elephant,” which was joined by the whole herd in trampling him.“The elephants moved away immediately from the scene without any aggression towards the nearby vehicles and eventually disappeared into the bushes,” the statement reads.Though elephants are typically not hostile, female elephants can become aggressive when they perceive a threat to their young calves.

Mix and match? Looking for beaten-down and also momentum stocks: Aveek Mitra
Aveek Mitra, Aveksat Financial Advisory, says they are spreading bets a little thinner so that they can get into ideas beaten down stocks and also into areas with some momentum. So they mix and match things. They are not sitting on too much cash, maybe about 5% to 6% cash and at the same time do not have that kind of conviction that they will bet big on some ideas. Correction can always be there. The investor community is waiting for a correction and the markets are waiting for market man's patience to go dry. Who will win? The patience of the investors or will the market win, Mr Market? Aveek Mitra: First of all, the patience of the investor is not there because, on any kind of small fall, people are putting in more money than they were doing yesterday. Every month, the flow goes up. So. how can you say that investor patience is not there?

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal victim of 'deep political conspiracy', people need to rally behind him, says wife Sunita
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal alleged on Saturday that her husband was a victim of a «deep political conspiracy» and urged the people to rally behind him or else no educated and honest person would like to join politics. In her first video message after the Lok Sabha results, she alleged that Kejriwal was arrested by the ED in the excise policy case based on a «false» statement by a witness and repeated the allegations levelled by the Aam Aadmi Party leaders against Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy (MSR), who was recently elected to Lok Sabha on a TDP ticket, and his son Raghava Magunta, an accused-turned-approver. She said Kejriwal was a normal, educated, patriotic and staunchly honest man, and no educated and honest person in the country will enter politics if Delhi people do not support him. The ED arrested Arvind Kejriwal based on the statement of TDP MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy (MSR). The Telugu Desam Party is a constituent of the ruling NDA, she said.

Israeli strikes kill 6 in Gaza, including kids and UN worker, as truce talks show signs of progress
Gaza, including two children at a home and at least one United Nations worker, Palestinian hospital officials and first responders said, even as stalled cease-fire talks between Israel and Hamas show signs of renewed momentum. Four out of every five people in Gaza — nearly 2 million Palestinians — have been driven into the territory's center by expanding Israeli military offensives and evacuation orders, the army estimated earlier this week. Civilians are taking shelter in makeshift tent camps and crowded urban areas, and many have been displaced multiple times. Violence also flared Friday in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli forces killed seven people in a raid and an airstrike, according to Palestinian health officials. And on the Israel-Lebanon border, rockets fired by militant group Hezbollah lightly wounded two Israeli soldiers, the army said, as concerns grow that these low-level clashes could escalate into a wider regional war.

Fight between two families at 30,000 feet forces Ryanair flight to make emergency landing
Ryanair flight was diverted just 36 minutes into its journey after a mass brawl erupted between passengers. The chaos unfolded on an evening flight from Agadir to London Stansted, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Marrakesh, reported The Sun. Shocking footage shows passengers screaming at each other while airline staff frantically tried to calm the situation at 30,000 feet. The commotion started during boarding when a man in his late 20s asked another passenger to move so he could sit with his wife and children. The woman, seated with her daughter, refused to budge, prompting the man to start threatening her. The flight took off without further incident, but as soon as the seat belt signs were turned off, the woman's husband, in his 30s, jumped to her defense. Punches were thrown between the two men, and other passengers from a larger group began to join in.
