Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray on Saturday claimed that had Prime Minister Narendra Modi not been there, the Ayodhya Ram temple would not have been built despite the Supreme Court's ruling. Talking to reporters here, Thackeray, who has declared unconditional support to PM Modi for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, said MNS will prepare a list of leaders the 'Mahayuti' alliance can contact for poll coordination. Thackeray, however, parried questions on whether he will address rallies for the Mahayuti, Maharashtra's ruling alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP. Lower effective tax rate of 39% instead of 42.74% in top bracket of new tax regime; here's how marginal relief works
«Individuals earning higher income are charged an additional charge above tax which is known as a surcharge. It's worth noting that in Budget 2023, the highest surcharge rate of 37% was reduced to 25% under the new tax regime, effective from 1st April 2023. This move brought down the effective tax rate from 42.74% to 39%,» says Abhishek Soni, co-founder, Tax2Win, a tax filing assistance company.

Live & let live should be the only dogma
dog. In this case, a beagle who was apparently about to be euthanised by his first 'family', presumably because of his long list of auto-immune ailments that need both expense and care. He was saved from a lethal injection and adopted by someone, who unfortunately passed away a few months ago, leaving him homeless again. My niece and her husband, newly weds, learnt of his plight and brought him home, much to the delight of my sister-in-law. That they all were mourning the recent passing of a furry family member may have had something to do with their wish to give a home to this beleaguered beagle. And now, in the afterglow of her new grandchild, my sister-in-law has decided to foster and will probably adopt a retired 10-year-old police dog, a dignified black Labrador. Meanwhile, also last week, the Karnataka High Court quashed a central government order banning 23 breeds of dogs citing their potentially dangerous nature. These include various types of terriers such as Pitbulls, shepherd dogs, the American Bulldog, and some mastiffs. The judgment appears to be on procedural grounds as it notes the government made the decision «without a recommendation from a properly constituted committee».

Yash debuts as producer: ‘KGF’ star will co-produce Ranbir Kapoor's ‘Ramayana’
KGF’ star Yash is making his debut as a producer! The Sandalwood star’s production house Monster Mind Creations has joined hands with Namit Malhotra's production company Prime Focus Studios to produce the magnum opus, which will be featuring ‘Animal’ star Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi in pivotal roles. Yash is also rumoured to star as the antagonist Ravana. In a heartfelt statement, the actor said that the story of ‘Ramayana’ has fascinated him always. He felt that even though most Indians are more or less familiar with Lord Ram’s journey to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravan, and his principles of righteousness, the timeless epic imparts new lessons and fresh perspectives every time you are reacquainted with it. “We believe we know Ramayana well, yet each time it unveils fresh wisdom, ignites new knowledge, and offers unique perspectives. Our vision is to translate this timeless epic onto the silver screen. It will be a grand spectacle, honoring its scale, but at its core, it will be an honest and faithful portrayal of the story, emotions, and values we hold dear. This is a journey to share Ramayana with the world,” he said. He was on a trip to Los Angeles when he met Malhotra, who was already working for ‘Ramayana.’
