Yash debuts as producer: ‘KGF’ star will co-produce Ranbir Kapoor's ‘Ramayana’
KGF’ star Yash is making his debut as a producer! The Sandalwood star’s production house Monster Mind Creations has joined hands with Namit Malhotra's production company Prime Focus Studios to produce the magnum opus, which will be featuring ‘Animal’ star Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi in pivotal roles. Yash is also rumoured to star as the antagonist Ravana.
In a heartfelt statement, the actor said that the story of ‘Ramayana’ has fascinated him always. He felt that even though most Indians are more or less familiar with Lord Ram’s journey to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravan, and his principles of righteousness, the timeless epic imparts new lessons and fresh perspectives every time you are reacquainted with it.
“We believe we know Ramayana well, yet each time it unveils fresh wisdom, ignites new knowledge, and offers unique perspectives. Our vision is to translate this timeless epic onto the silver screen. It will be a grand spectacle, honoring its scale, but at its core, it will be an honest and faithful portrayal of the story, emotions, and values we hold dear. This is a journey to share Ramayana with the world,” he said. He was on a trip to Los Angeles when he met Malhotra, who was already working for ‘Ramayana.’
