NITI Aayog is hand holding states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh to firm up their state-specific vision documents for 2047, in line with the country’s roadmap for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the Aayog said in its annual report 2024-25.

The initiative gained momentum after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the 9th governing council meeting of the Aayog in July last year, stressed that Viksit Bharat can be realised through Viksit States and that the aspiration of Viksit Bharat should reach the grassroot level, the Aayog said.
“Observing his call for states to prepare their vision @2047, NITI Aayog has been actively supporting the states with the preparation of state-specific vision documents for 2047,” the Aayog said in its annual report 2024-25, released on Friday.
According to the report, the visioning exercise has been launched in the states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. To facilitate this process, dedicated teams have been constituted within NITI Aayog to assist in the preparation of the vision documents, it said.
“This aims to help states to draw strategies for all round growth and development in alignment with the policies of the central government towards Viksit Bharat @2047,” it said.
