Canada's call for accusations against India met with reluctance from allies: Report
Canada made an explosive allegation implicating Indian officials in the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Canadian officials sought public condemnation of the murder from their allies, including the United States, but were met with reluctance, The Washington Post reported. The same highlights the diplomatic challenges faced by the Biden administration and its allies as they try to navigate relations with India, a crucial player in the region, the report noted. The alleged assassination of Nijjar, a Canadian citizen, on June 18, led to behind-the-scenes discussions among senior officials from the Five Eyes countries in the weeks leading up to the September Group of 20 summit in New Delhi. However, no public mention was made before the summit, which was seen as an important event for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to The Washington Post. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's announcement of «credible allegations» in the parliament caused a significant rupture in bilateral relations with India, resulting in the expulsion of an Indian diplomat in Ottawa, the report stated. «Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar,» PM Trudeau said on Monday. However, New Delhi on Tuesday rejected Canada's allegations of Indian agents being involved in the killing of pro-Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the chief of Khalistan Tiger Force and a designated 'terrorist'. In retaliation to the Trudeau administration expelling an Indian diplomat, New Delhi ordered a Canadian envoy, believed to be spying for the country in India, within five days, the

Britney Spears shares enigmatic message amid divorce. See what she said
Britney Spears recently posted a cryptic message on her Instagram, alluding to an inner conflict she's experiencing. This comes in the wake of her divorce announcement with husband Sam Asghari. In the Instagram story, Spears shared a video featuring a toddler breaking an egg onto an older woman's head, followed by a message from Spears. She clarified that she wasn't complaining about the video but hinted at a deeper meaning. She mentioned having experienced similar actions herself, causing her to view it differently. Spears revealed that her inner conflict often stems from having those she considers enemies right in front of her, alluding to keeping them close because of love. She expressed sensitivity towards bullying or people laughing at others. She concluded her message by alluding to the complexity of truth, emphasizing the need to see things from different angles. Spears and Asghari's divorce was announced in August, citing irreconcilable differences. Asghari confirmed the separation on Instagram, stating that they had decided to end their journey together. The couple met when Asghari worked as a dancer on Spears' 2016 song «Slumber Party» and became engaged in 2021. Their 2022 wedding at Spears' home attracted A-list guests like Selena Gomez, Madonna and Paris Hilton. Asghari played a crucial role in supporting Spears during her conservatorship battle, which ended in 2021. Spears is set to release a tell-all memoir titled «The Woman in Me» later this year, shedding light on her life's intricacies.

During the weekend, Russell Brand, the comedian, actor, and TV host, faced allegations of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse between 2006 and 2013. These allegations emerged from a joint investigation by The Times, The Sunday Times, and Channel 4 Dispatches. Brand vehemently denied all accusations. A Scotland Yard spokesperson conveyed awareness of the allegations reported by The Sunday Times and Channel 4 Dispatches. The Met received a report on Sunday, September 17, about a sexual assault claim dating back to 2003 in Soho, central London. The police are providing support to the woman involved and maintaining contact with her. Scotland Yard emphasized its engagement with The Sunday Times on September 16 and subsequent efforts to ensure that potential victims of sexual offenses know how to report incidents to the police. They urged anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offense, regardless of when it occurred, to come forward. In the wake of the exposé published on September 16, the BBC, Channel 4, and Banijay UK, where Russell Brand worked during the alleged period, initiated their independent internal investigations.
