A Rajya Sabha bulletin said the chairman had received complaints from MPs Sasmit Patra, S Phangnon Konyak, M Thambidurai and Narhari Amin, who alleged breach of privilege by Raghav Chadha for inter-alia including their names without their consent in violation of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business by moving a motion on August 7.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar urged Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday to provide a copy of the Vedas to each Member of Parliament. Dhankhar also proposed that each member then take it upon themselves to distribute a hundred copies of the ancient scriptures to others.

Manipur with the Centre and the state government not taking any strong steps to deal with the «very serious» situation there, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleged on Sunday after a delegation of opposition alliance returned from the violence-hit state following a two-day visit.
