What should investors do with defense stocks? Sunil Subramaniam answers
«The Modi 1.0 and the 2.0 had such a strong emphasis around the infra space and so I think there was a lot of confidence that the government through a mix of disinvestment, divestment, professionalising these companies, getting in private sector honchos to head it, and would improve their performance and so that, I would say, in a way, helped these stocks,» says Sunil Subramaniam, Market Expert. You just heard it from our research analyst, the kind of valuations some of these fancy defence, railway names are sitting at, the kind of growth trajectory and more importantly of late the kind of stock fall some of these stocks have seen, both on a monthly as well as on a weekly basis. Having said that, I mean, if you were to just elongate the chart for another one or two years, perhaps, a 30% fall is negligible, given the kind of returns some of these stocks have made. So, what is the right way of looking at the recent fall that some of these names have seen? Sunil Subramaniam: I think for an existing investor who got in early into this space, it is good to book profits. And the reason I say that is that A) a huge valuation gap between the same private sector related companies and the public sector. So, there was a catch-up rally happening because historically, they have always been at a discount to the private sector.

Kumar, who stands at 7.7 feet tall, not only engages in wrestling but also serves as a constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Sunil Kumar, hailed as the Great Khali of Jammu, plays the role of the headless monster Sarkata in «Stree 2.» Born on December 16, 1990, Kumar has previously participated in a WWE Tryout in 2019 and expresses aspirations to represent India in the WWE Championship. Despite his imposing stature, it’s important to note that Sarkata’s face in the film was created using CGI, while Kumar’s body shots were used for the character. According to director Amar Kaushik, the casting team discovered Kumar because of his height and physique. «My team found Sunil Kumar and chose him for Sarkata's role mainly due to his height and physical stature,» Kaushik shared with Bollywood Hungama. «While Kumar’s body shots were used for the character, Sarkata’s face was created using CGI.»

Puma looks to be a sports & performance-first brand
Puma said it continued to be India's largest sports and apparel brand on the back of a 10% increase in sales last calendar year amid top management attrition and slowing demand for discretionary products. For the fiscal year ended December, its revenue stood at ₹3,274 crore, as per filings with the Registrar of Companies, much higher than that of rivals Adidas, Nike and Reebok and Skechers, and fast fashion brands Zara and H&M. Puma said it is shifting its strategy to a sports and performance-first brand instead of just lifestyle and athleisure.

Who is Raygun, the Olympian who has divided the breaking world?
Raygun, also known as Rachael Gunn, was under heavy criticism recently following her Olympic performances in Paris. Australian university lecturer, 36, participated in the breaking (breakdancing) competition, but her outrageous performance choices and manner drew a lot of criticism. Her routines, which included moves like the sprinkler and kangaroo-inspired hops, were heavily criticized online. This reaction had significant effects on the small but passionate hip-hop community in Australia, as per the reports of Yahoo sports. Within the Australian breaking scene, the backlash against Raygun caused a stir. Many thought her performance fell short of the high expectations they have for someone performing on such a big stage. Australian hip-hop pioneer Spice said that the unfavorable press appeared to be pushing their local scene back and questioned the expectations for Olympic representation. In spite of the criticism, several in the community stood up for Raygun, saying that any objective assessment of her work was eclipsed by the harsh criticism coming from all around the world.
