NEW DELHI : Tata Motors Ltd swung to a consolidated net profit in the June quarter from a year-earlier loss lifted by robust sales of luxury vehicles by its British unit, Jaguar Land Rover, and an improved operating performance of its commercial vehicle business in India. Apollo Pipes Limited, a prominent piping solutions provider and one of the top 10 companies in the industry in India, has disclosed its financial results for the quarter and financial year ending on June 30, 2023. The company witnessed significant growth in various aspects during Q1FY24 compared to the same period in the previous year. In terms of sales volume, Apollo Pipes recorded a substantial increase of 47%, with sales reaching 21,219 tons, up from 14,406 tons in Q1FY23.

Asian Paints Ltd, India’s largest paints maker, reported a mixed set of first quarter numbers on Tuesday, with profit beating estimates even as revenue came below expectations. The company posted a 52.5% increase in consolidated net profit at ₹1,550.4 crore for the quarter from ₹1,016.9 crore a year ago. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 6.7% year-on-year to ₹9,182.31 crore from ₹8,606.94 crore.

Tata Motors announced its April-June quarter results for fiscal 2023-24 (Q1FY24) on July 25, reporting a consolidated net profit of ₹3,202 crore. Bajaj Auto reported better-than-expected earnings in the quarter ended June led by robust sales of motorcycles and commercial vehicles in the domestic market, a healthy model mix and better exchange realisation. Net profit at the Pune-based company rose 42% over the corresponding period last year while revenue from operations touched a record high of 29% over the year ago period. Profit after tax at the firm increased to Rs1165 crore over Rs1173 crore in the same period last year while revenue from operations advanced Rs10,310 crore from Rs8005 crore, the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
