Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed the flood situation in the state’s 11 districts due to the water released from the mountains and bad weather conditions in the last three days. CM Yogi has directed all the officials concerned of the eleven districts- Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ballia, Farrukhabad, Gonda, Kanpur Nagar, GB Nagar, Sitapur, Hardoi and Shahjahanpur, to ensure proper relief works. Senior officers have been asked to tour the flood-affected areas and keep a close eye on the ongoing relief works. Teams of NDRF and SDRF have been deployed in all the eleven districts. CM Yogi has directed officials to assess the damage done to the crops and subsequently, submit a report to the state government. According to a release, the government wants to provide compensation money to the farmers at the earliest possible. He has also directed the officials to give financial help to people whose houses have been damaged or who have lost their animals. Meanwhile, Relief Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami said the relief operations are going on war footing in all the flood-affected 11 districts. According to him, five villages of Kushinagar districts are affected due to the flood in Gandak river. The government has set up 16-flood-shelters there. Bihar government has sounded an alert for floods in northern, southern and central parts of the state following heavy discharge of water from Birpur and Valmikinagar barrages on Sunday, officials said. The embankment of the Bagmati river in Madhkaul village in Sitamarhi district broke on Sunday, which is being repaired, they said. «Due to this incident, villagers have been evacuated to safer places and the repair work is on...No casualty has been reported so far,» Richie Pandey, District Magistrate (DM), Sitamathi, told reporters. Due to heavy discharge of water from Birpur barrage, seepage was also reported from the Kosi Eastern embankment near Gopalpur on Saturday night, which was repaired by the engineers of the Water Resources Department (WRD).

Cloudflare has denied any role in hosting two websites run by a hacker offering for sale stolen personal data and medical records of customers of top Indian insurer Star Health. The statement comes after the company was made party to an Indian lawsuit filed by Star Health last week, in which the insurer alleged that Cloudflare hosted the websites in question. «Cloudflare is not the host for the domains in question,» the firm told Reuters, adding that it works as a pass-through service situated between a website host and an end-user, which is why one may see a Cloudflare IP address.

Reports indicate that an Iranian mole provided Israeli authorities with critical information about his whereabouts just hours before the attack. According to the French newspaper Le Parisien, the mole informed Israeli officials that Nasrallah was at Hezbollah's underground headquarters in Beirut's southern suburbs for a meeting with top members of the organization. Around 1.30 pm IST yesterday (11 am Lebanon time), Israel Defence Forces said in a post on X, «Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.» Later in the day, Hezbollah confirmed the news. «Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah… has joined his great, immortal martyr comrades whom he led for about 30 years,» it said in a statement. The recent airstrike is part of Israel's ongoing campaign against Hezbollah, which has been bolstered by significant intelligence efforts. The data reveals that a significant number of employees are grappling with anxiety and feeling overwhelmed in their work environments. Companies need to take proactive steps to foster a supportive atmosphere that prioritises mental health and work-life balance,» Genius Consultants Chairman and Managing Director R P Yadav said.
