The proposed bill may be presented during the monsoon session starting this Thursday. Parab introduced the bill after numerous cases where Marathi-speaking individuals were denied housing due to their food choices or religion. «Discrimination based on such grounds is unconstitutional,» he stated. Parab highlighted a Vile Parle incident where a builder refused to sell homes to Marathi people citing their food habits. Despite protests, government action was lacking, and the builder only apologized after media exposure. Parab emphasized that Marathi speakers are now a minority in Mumbai.

NDA government in Bihar has cancelled 350 contracts worth Rs 826 crore, which were awarded during the previous RJD-led 'Mahagathbandhan' dispensation in the state for supplying drinking water in rural areas, a minister said on Tuesday. The decision to cancel the contracts was taken after an inquiry by the Public Health Engineering Department revealed that there were "irregularities in the process of selecting contractors", he said. «During the previous RJD-led grand alliance regime in the state, many contracts were awarded by the department. An inquiry by the department revealed that due process was not followed in awarding 350 contracts worth Rs 826 crore. These were related to the rural water supply, including the installation of hand pumps and mini water supply systems,» PHED Minister Niraj Kumar Singh told PTI. The department has handed over the preliminary inquiry report to the competent authority in the state government for a thorough probe, he said.

However, installing the chips as Nvidia wanted could have affected Microsoft's ability to switch to different AI chips, the report added citing sources.The report said that disagreement over how Microsoft was using the hardware after its purchase led to the production of Nvidia's next flagship chip GB200 --- complete with a server rack design specified by Huang.The long-drawn argument only concluded when it reached Nadella's desk, and he reportedly made Nvidia roll back their demands.
