The banned spices include madras curry powder, sambhar mixed masala powder, mixed masala curry powder of MDH, and fish curry masala of Everest. The importers and traders are requested to recall these products from the Nepalese market. “As residue contents of ethylene oxide are found to be exceeding the prescribed limit in these four products, the import and sale of these products are banned within the country as per Article 19 of the Food Regulation 2027 B.S.,” Nepal's Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, in a notice said.

Tis Hazari Court on Saturday dismissed anticipatory bail plea of Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar's in the ongoing Swati Maliwal's assault case. Ujjivan Small Finance Bank doesn’t have an immediate plan to seek a universal banking licence despite becoming eligible, managing director Ittira Davis told ET. The bank’s gross non-performing assets ratio stood below 3% and net NPA ratio below 1% for two consecutive years, making it entitled to apply for a licence. «Next week, the process of reverse merger will be over. A call on universal banking will be taken later. We are not rushing for it,» Davis said.

D K Shivakumar and other state ministers on Saturday rubbished allegations about their role in the circulation of pen drives containing explicit videos involving Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna. BJP leader and advocate G Devaraje Gowda, who is in custody after being arrested in a sexual abuse case and is also facing charges of video leak, on Friday alleged that Shivakumar and four other ministers are behind the circulation of the pen drives and was being fixed in false cases as he did not agree to be part of their plan. He has even alleged that he was offered Rs 100 crore by Shivakumar to «bring a bad name» to the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and to tarnish the image of JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy in Prajwal Revanna's obscene video case. Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar said, «Better, let him (Gowda) file a case before Lokayukta or any other agency. I think he has some problems mentally. I'm very sorry, the national and state media shouldn't have picked up such baseless allegations. A person who is in jail, how can he make such allegations? All these are baseless. Sundaram Home Finance expects the growth momentum to continue in the current financial year and would focus expansion into smaller towns, a top official has said. The city-based company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sundaram Finance Ltd would also be exploring opportunities in Tier 4 towns in South India, Managing Director Lakshminarayanan Duraiswamy said. «Given that the small towns in the South Market are seeing a good pace of growth on the back of increased affordability, we continue to be positive on the outlook for the real estate sector and are hopeful that the growth momentum will continue,» he said in a statement. «Our focus will be to penetrate deeper into smaller towns. We will also look at exploring opportunities in Tier 4 towns in South India and expect these new locations to drive our growth this year,» he said.

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Q4 Results: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (SFB) announced its January-March quarter results for fiscal 2023-24 (Q4FY24) on Saturday, May 18, reporting a rise of 6.5 per cent to ₹329.6 crore, compared to ₹309.5 crore in the corresponding period last year. The private lender's net interest income (NII) – the difference between interest earned and interest expended --increased 26.4 per cent to ₹933 crore, compared to ₹738 crore in the year-ago period.

According to the data shared by the office, 1409 voters cast their ballots from the comfort of their homes across all seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi on Friday, which was the second day of the facility being started. The West Delhi constituency reported the highest number of home votes, with 348 voters participating. Among them, 299 were elderly individuals.
