Sahil Kapoor, Head of Products & Market Strategist, DSP Mutual Fund, says top-line growth is slowing; we already have peak profit margins and drivers of profit margins are absent which can expand profit margins from here and then you question that if earnings growth is going to be 12% to 14%, why would you pay 23 times or in midcap 28 to 40 times earnings multiples? Those expectations will have to be recalibrated and possibly the markets will do that over the next 12 to 24 months.” What is your market outlook in terms of equity markets in India? The smallcap and midcap indices were getting a bit frothy and the overall clamour was that it is safer to be in largecap stocks. Is that what you are changing your product portfolios to be in terms of what you are recommending to your clients? Sahil Kapoor: When you look at the broader universe, small and midcaps appear slightly more expensive compared to largecaps on a relative basis.

Entertainment Election exclusive information Courts rights Plea in SC seeks review of verdict scrapping electoral bonds scheme
Supreme Court seeking review of its February 15 verdict, which had scrapped the Modi government's electoral bonds scheme of anonymous political funding. The review plea filed by advocate Mathews J. Nedumpara submitted that this Court entertained the petition (against the scheme) and struck down the law and the scheme without noticing that in doing so it is acting as an appellate authority over Parliament, substituting its wisdom on a matter which falls in the exclusive province of legislative and executive policy. «The court failed to notice that even assuming the issue is justiciable, the petitioners therein having not claimed any specific legal injury exclusive to them, their petition could not have been decided as if a private litigation for the enforcement of rights which are specific and exclusive to them,» Nedumpara submitted in his plea. He said the Court failed to notice that the public opinion could be sharply divided and the majority of the people of this country could probably be in support of the scheme, brought into existence by their elected representatives and that they too have a right to be heard, as much as the PIL/writ petitioners.

UPS Digital Booking wellness innovations rights sprint Bottoming out on revenue side; running a marathon and a sprint at the same time: TCS Management
K Krithivasan, CEO & MD and NG Subramaniam, COO, TCS, in conversation with ET Now. Krithivasan says: “This quarter we started talking about both AI plus generative AI pipeline, it is about 900 million for us. The revenue numbers, once it becomes material, we would start declaring that number also. But that revenue would be not only directly what you do using generative AI. So much work needs to happen in terms of getting the data ready, in terms of cloud migration as is required. Generative AI is going to have a long tail of other kinds of related work that needs to happen. Subramaniam says: “I would agree, except that one more thing I will add is that we are growth, efficiency, innovation or AI innovation, all happening at the same place, at the same time, and in a way that we are running a marathon and a sprint at the same time.” Is growth back? K Krithivasan: We have been looking at our TCV for the last four quarters. We have been reporting very impressive TCV and we believe that with this TCV, growth has to come back. But we do not know whether it will come in Q1 or Q2. I do not want to make that call. But overall, we believe FY25 would be a better year than FY24.

UPS security show social Equality rights orienteering Financial How increasing earning and wealth have made personal financial decisions truly 'personal'
We were talking about how things have changed for the better, with many middle-aged people making independent choices about their lives, time, money and interests. The conversation shifted to social media posts that show middle-aged people learning music and dance, art and sport, and about how they travel and tour, feeling free to pursue their old and new interests. As is my wont, I see all of this as some measure of easing up with money. It takes a sense of security about money to let go of fears, apprehensions and worries about the future, and focus more on the present. There has to be a shift from scarcity mindset to generosity mindset to be willing to spend, to be positive about new things and focus on oneself without guilt. There is enough for everyone; everything is plentiful now and shall be in the future; and there is no need to suffer and be a martyr. That feeling is liberating.
