AMCs, wealth management companies to be among some of the biggest wealth creators in future: Sunil Singhania
Sunil Singhania, Founder,Abakkus Asset, and Bharat Shah, Executive Director, ASK Group, in conversation with Nikunj Dalmia of ET Now on the occasion of Prabhudas Lilladher 80th Anniversary. Singhania says the wealth and asset management business is still minuscule and this is a business where at least 25% growth is visible for the next 10-20 years. And 25% growth over 10 years is 10x and if it lasts for 20 years it is 100x. It is a good business as one does not need capital and only needs intellectual capital. There is 100% cash conversion. He says asset management and wealth management companies are going to be some of the biggest wealth creators. What is the next big theme, idea or trend you are betting on? I respect your compliance, we will not talk stocks. But give us where you think there is scope for earnings upgrade, PE upgrade, and where the macros are going to be favourable?

More positive from FPIs’ perspective for next 10-20 years; retail investors bringing down volatility: Navneet Munot
Navneet Munot, MD & CEO, HDFC AMC, and Bharat Shah, Executive Director, ASK Group, in conversation with Nikunj Dalmia of ET Now on the occasion of Prabhudas Lilladher 80th Anniversary . Naveneet Munot says he feels more positive for the next 10-20 years from foreign portfolio investors' perspective. What the retail presence is doing is bringing down the volatility of the market on a structural basis. Now, our SIP per month is Rs 21,000 crore. In 12 months, it is equal to $30 billion. Then there is NPS, EPFO, insurance, and all of that. This money every day is so large. It will provide more stability to the market. On FIIs and FPIs Navneet Munot: Despite whatever was happening in the world, most of the great market people like Amisha bhen (Amisha Vora, Prabhudas Lilladher co-owner & Joint MD), have served like foreign portfolio investors for the last 30-32 years when they started investing. Out of the last 30-32 years, for almost 24 or 25 years, they have been net buyers of Indian equities, except for six or seven calendar or financial years, where they have been a net seller of Indian equities.

Can manufacturing stocks go further up from current levels? Deepak Shenoy answers
«If you look at the broad market, it is up more than 1% overall. So, there is a lot of buying pressure in this market. Perhaps the fundamentals you could argue have been frothy for over six months now but the market continues to have run higher,» says Deepak Shenoy, Founder, Capital Mind. What do you make of the market mood right now because there are people who are waiting for dips to come by. They are calling the markets a bit more frothy, expensive, difficult to find ideas but the liquidity gush really continues and the market continues to trend higher. Deepak Shenoy: Indeed, in fact, people who have been waiting from pre-election times for the market to dip, they got one, they thought there will be another bit of a dip after that and then the market went up. Last week we saw, what, it is less than a week now and we have seen capital gains tax increase and still the market seems strong. Though today I think the Nifty is kind of lacklustre.
