Will Jake Paul make his MMA debut after his bout with Mike Tyson? Here's what the boxer has to say
Jake Paul is set to make his long-awaited MMA debut in the summer of 2025. This comes after he signed a deal with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) nearly two years ago. Although he lost to Tommy Fury in 2023 and has been focused on boxing, his commitment to MMA remains strong. Paul is currently preparing for a boxing match against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which could attract up to 90,000 fans. While Paul gears up for his boxing fight, he is also planning his entrance into the MMA arena. Although specific details regarding his weight class and opponent are yet to be finalized, PFL owner Donn Davis confirmed that Paul is ready for his debut. Davis stated, «He tells me the summer of 2025. He's been training.» Earlier discussions for a fight with Nate Diaz fell through, but Davis believes that the timing was never right for both fighters. Ratan Tata had second thoughts about Mistry's suitability as Tata Sons chairman designate, says book
Ratan Tata began having second thoughts about Cyrus Mistry's 'suitability' as chairman-designate of Tata Sons by the end of the first year of apprenticeship under him to give insights and hands-on experience on how to run the group, even before the latter formally taking over the position fully, according to a newly released book. Tata 'suffered more' than Mistry 'in a way' from the decision to sack his successor as Chairman of Tata Sons in October 2016, claimed a biography of the late veteran industrialist and philanthropist — Ratan Tata A Life — authored by Thomas Mathew and published by HarperCollins Publishers. Late Mistry was chosen in 2011 after a global search by a selection committee to succeed Tata — who retired as Chairman of Tata Sons in December 2012 — with his full endorsement, despite apprehensions and reservations expressed by group veterans. For a year Mistry was the 'Chairman designate' before he took over as Chairman of Tata Sons after Tata's retirement. While approving the recommendation of the selection panel, Tata had two observations while nodding Mistry as his successor. He wanted Mistry, who was then the MD of Shapoorji Pallonji Group with interests similar to the Tatas such as construction, real estate, textiles, engineering goods, and power among others to 'severe all relations' with the company by creating a separation that would be 'legal and tenable'.

MCD planning to propose ban on pigeon feeding spots in Delhi over health concerns
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi officials said that the plan is still in its early stages, and an advisory is expected soon. The proposal aims to address the health risks associated with pigeon droppings, which can harbour pathogens such as Salmonella, E. Coli, and influenza. These pathogens can exacerbate respiratory conditions like asthma and lead to severe allergic reactions. «When pigeons gather in large numbers, their droppings and feather fluttering create a breeding ground for various pathogens, particularly fungal spores like cryptococci. Inhaling these spores can lead to serious respiratory issues, including hypersensitivity pneumonitis, asthma, and even severe fungal pneumonia in individuals with conditions like diabetes.

Physical disabilities in senior citizens could have direct link to pollution: Study
physical disabilities, especially among elders, leading to difficulties in performing activities of daily living (ADL), reported TOI. The study was conducted in the US with 15,411 participants over an average follow-up period of about eight years. It found that at least 48 per cent of the participants aged 65 years and above reported new difficulties in performing daily activities due to exposure to pollution. The researchers discovered that higher concentrations of particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10-2.5) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) were associated with increased risks of ADL disability. However, not all associations reached statistical significance. Moreover, ozone (O3) was found to be associated with a lower risk of ADL disability.
