Who will come to see Priyanka Gandhi? People will rather visit Kaziranga and watch tigers and rhinos,» the CM further added. Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and and his Chinese counterpart Dong Jun held talks in nearly 18 months and discussed US-China defence relations and regional and global security issues, the Pentagon said. In the meeting held via videoconference on Tuesday, Austin stressed the importance of keeping military-to-military communication lines between the US and China open, it said. It is the first time since November 2022 that Austin has held talks with his Chinese counterpart when he spoke with the then defence minister of China Wei Fenghe in Cambodia. Dong was appointed China's Defence minister in December. China then named General Li Shangfu as its defence minister.

Lok Sabha polls, defections from major political parties in Maharashtra have caused significant upheaval in the state's political landscape. MUMBAI : The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has proposed that non-banks offering physical point of sale services (PoS) must notify the regulator of their intent to seek authorization within 60 days, and then submit their application by 31 May 2025, for approval to continue operations. “…they shall be allowed to continue their operations till they receive communication from the RBI regarding (the) fate of their application," the regulator said in a draft circular late on Tuesday.
