UPS Platform Assurant RAI social Unlike AICC, UP opposition parties cautious on Ayodhya
opposition parties have taken a more nuanced approach to questions regarding attending the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya than the principal national opposition Congress, which has slammed it as «clearly a BJP-RSS event» and said the inauguration is being done for «political gains». BSP chief Mayawati on Monday, while saying she was yet undecided on whether or not to attend the programme owing to party engagements, emphatically added that her party «did not have any problems» with the January 22 ceremony and «welcomed it», «just like it would welcome a programme for the mosque being built in place of Babri Masjid as the BSP is a secular party». Two days earlier, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, after putting out cryptic statements regarding whether he will attend the ceremony, wrote a letter to temple trust general secretary Champat Rai, thanking him for the invitation and assuring him that he would visit the temple after January 22 «as a devotee with his entire family». He also extended his best wishes for the successful organisation of the programme. Yadav's letter, which he posted on social media platform X, appeared to take care not to upset the majority Hindu voters while also not appearing anti-Muslim by attending the inauguration being organised by the Sangh Parivar. On Monday, senior UP Congress leaders, although not invited to the January 22 ceremony, visited Ayodhya, took a dip in the holy Saryu river and worshipped at the Ram Lalla Virjaman makeshift temple and the Hanumangarhi temple.

An IndiGo spokesperson said the airline was looking into the incident and «sincerely apologised» to its customers. The flight that took off from Goa could not land at the Delhi airport due to dense fog, and was diverted to the Mumbai airport on Sunday. A significant number of flights were impacted at the Delhi airport on Sunday due to dense fog and low visibility conditions. «IndiGo flight 6E 2195 (Goa to Delhi) was diverted due to unfavourable weather conditions. markets Digital Platform community Trade social Destinations Cancellations rise, users feel taxi apps taking them for a ride
users of cab-hailing platforms are now facing instances of drivers cancelling trips after finding the destination, the mode of payment for the fare, or a combination of both, according to the findings of a survey. As much as 84% of the respondents to the survey conducted by community social media platform LocalCircles between September 2023 and January this year said they had experienced ride cancellations by drivers over these issues, compared with 79% two years ago. About 75% of the 11,119 respondents chose ride cancellation as the top issue they face when using ride-hailing services, followed by surge pricing, waiting times, safety, driver courteousness and vehicle cleanliness. While drivers often cancelled the trip after finding the destination, they preferred direct payment of the fare instead of digital transfer through the platform of the cab aggregator. «It appears more the demand — given the higher traffic with things normalising (after the pandemic) — the worse are the experiences of consumers,» a report based on the survey said. The entry of new players in app-based taxi market and government regulations have had a minimal impact in improving the user experience, according to LocalCircles. New players such as BluSmart, inDrive and Rapido are helping consumers to have more choices when they need a ride in a market led by Ola and Uber, but their limited reach has failed to make a significant qualitative impact on the user experience, as per the survey. In May 2022 the government issued notices to taxi aggregators citing deficiency in services and other allegedly unfair trade practices.
