The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had set deadline of December 11 for telecom service provider to trace and block all messages that do no comply with its rule to stop pesky messages. «In line with the directive issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on August 20, 2024, all commercial messages sent by Principle Entities (PEs) must now be fully traceable. »Effective December 11, 2024, messages that do not have a defined or matching telemarketer (TM) chain will be blocked, reinforcing a significant step towards safer and more transparent communication channels," COAI, Director General, SP Kochhar said in a statement.

SGK Kishore, Executive Director and Chief Innovation Officer of GMR Airports, at a press conference exuded confidence that the passenger traffic would hit 45 million (annually) by 2030 from the existing 30 million and said the ultimate of the airport would be 100 million passengers. «We are expecting 45 million (per annum) by 2030. It is only an estimate and anything can happen. Based on the projections and based on what we have seen, we have to be proactive. We have started the planning (for the capacity expansion),» he said. The GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd has already created the necessary infrastructure in a phased manner to handle 34 million passengers. The aerodrome was built in 2008 with a capacity of 12 million. Currently, the airport has one integrated terminal.

Delhi Police has arrested three people who secured a loan of Rs 75 lakh by mortgage a property by preparing forged documents, officials said on Wednesday. The police arrested Pankaj Sachdeva alias Roshan Manchanda (61), who had fabricated property documents and identification credentials to secure the loan. The arrest also exposed the involvement of two accomplices, Suhail Chauhan and Nitin Verma, who worked as freelance loan agents. According to the police, the case was registered in 2019 on the complaint of Harminder Kaur Anand, a Bengaluru-based resident, who alleged that the property she purchased in 2011 at Rana Pratap Bagh in northwest Delhi had been fraudulently mortgaged to a private bank for a loan of Rs 75 lakh. «The woman was shocked to learn about the fraud during a visit to the property in 2018 when neighbours reported suspicious activities and her son-in-law discovered a loan notice pasted on the property,» Deputy Commissioner of Police (northwest) Abhishek Dhania said.
