A League of Their Own, the popular series based on the original 1992 film, has been canceled by Amazon’s Prime Video. Amid the ongoing strikes in Hollywood, a shortened Season 2 had been announced in April 2023, but now the show has been scrapped altogether.

Amazon Prime Video has made the decision to cancel «The Peripheral», as reported by Variety. The announcement comes despite Amazon's prior renewal of the show for a second season in February. Adapted from the William Gibson novel of the same title, the series premiered on Amazon on October 21, 2022.
