British scientists have discovered a new planet near Earth that could potentially support human life, reports 'Sky News'. Sony Pictures Entertainment on Tuesday said it has appointed Nachiket Pantvaidya as General Manager of Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP), India. He will oversee local Indian production while working alongside Shony Panjikaran, General Manager and Head of Sony Pictures Releasing International, India, the company said in a statement. «As he takes up this new assignment, he will continue to perform his duties as CEO, Sony Entertainment Talent Ventures in parallel,» it added. An industry veteran, Pantvaidya was the Group CEO, Balaji Telefilms and Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television. He was also the Business Head of Star Plus and held several roles in the Star TV network, including Head of Star Pravah and Managing Director of Fox Television Studios.

The youth, named Laturlal Gujar, reportedly threatened the ‘Dabangg’ star through a video named ‘Are Chhodo Yaar’. The video became viral on YouTube. Gujar was brought to Mumbai and produced before the city court. He is to remain in police custody till June 18. According to the Mumbai police, a complaint against Gujar was filed after the video went viral. Gujar is believed to have connections with gangsters Goldy Brar, Vivek Bhaiya, Rohit, and Jitin, who issued death threats to the ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ star. The video content was transcribed by the police officials. It reads, “Ram Ram mere sabhi Bhaiyo (Ram Ram all my brothers)… Brothers, we are all brothers now, Goldy is my brother, Nitin, Vivek, Rohit, and Jitin, they all are here and there are many more brothers.” The video further stated, “Our intention was clear, what we want and it was shared but he is not listening.
