New Parliament building a blend of tradition and modernity
new Parliament building, which had its maiden sittings of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, narrates the stories of India's democratic traditions from the Vedic period to the present day. The growth of democracy in the country is depicted through a series of exhibits in the Constitution Hall of the new building, which itself is inspired by the Sri Yantra, used for worship in the Hindu traditions and considered a source of pure energy. «Commencing a new chapter in India's vibrant democracy, the new Parliament building stands as a beacon of hope and progress. It symbolises our nation's aspirations and the boundless possibilities of our future,» Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
