The final figures depend on the trial balance and balance sheets. This translates to a $5 billion global premium. When asked about the premium breakdown, Kapur highlighted health as the top-performing segment, noting growth in health and motor segments. You recently closed your books of FY24. How much premium have you done in the fiscal? Has the company achieved the target or has it missed it? How far are you from the target? Neerja Kapur: We had targeted a premium of about Rs 42,000 crore, global written premium and we have completed the financial year and these are unaudited figures as of now. When we compile the premium completion of our domestic market with the premium completion of our foreign offices, the total premium of Rs 41,860 crore and these, of course, will be subject to the finalisation of the trial balance and the balance sheets. Stock market today: On account of weak global market sentiments ahead of the US Fed chairman Jerome Powell's speech on Wednesday, the Indian stock market remained range-bound throughout the Wednesday session. Out of three frontline indices, The Nifty 50 index and the BSE Sensex ended lower whereas the Bank Nifty ended in the green territory on the previous session. However, the broad market indices continued outperforming the key benchmark indices as the small-call and the mid-cap indices gained over 0.50 percent.

The Nifty 50 index corrected 18 points and ended at the 22,434 level, the BSE Sensex lost 27 points and ended at the 73,876 mark whereas the Bank Nifty index added 78 points and closed at the 47,624 level. However, the broad market indices rose more than 0.5 percent even as the advance-decline ratio remained positive at 2.75:1.

Green hydrogen (GH2) and green ammonia segments are estimated to drive investments of $125 billion (about ₹10.43 lakh crore) in India by 2030, according to a report by investment banking firm Avendus Capital. The report, titled 'Green Hydrogen, The Next Frontier In Energy Transition', said the growth would be driven by an increasing focus on sustainability, demonstrated commercial viability, ever-expanding use cases and a strong regulatory push. GH2 is made by electrolysis of water, using power from renewable energy sources. It does not emit any greenhouse gases. Efforts are on globally to make green hydrogen the fuel that can help countries attain their net-zero emission targets.

Radisson Hotel Group currently has a hotel at every four hours of driving distance in India. The global hospitality chain targets to have a property at every two hours of driving distance, a senior official said. Radisson signed 21 new hotels in India last year, including signings for locations such as Jhansi and Sonipat. It now plans to sign about 30 hotels every year in the country for the next five years, said Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group.
