Vedanta Ltd on Thursday reported record production figures across key business verticals for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, the company said in a regulatory filing. Vedanta achieved historic highs in aluminium and zinc production while also recording strong growth in iron ore, steel, oil and gas, and power sales. Annual aluminium production saw a 2% increase year-on-year, reaching 2,421 kt, while fourth-quarter output grew 1%.

West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) saying it «intentionally» covered up the lapses and illegalities in the appointment of 25,753 teachers and staffers in state-run and state-aided schools. The scathing remarks came from a bench of Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar in its judgement by which it annulled the appointment of 25,753 teachers and staffers. Authoring the judgement, the CJI said despite the factual background and the credible evidence indicating irregularities the «WBSSC initially did try and cover up the lapses and illegalities». The CJI went on, «The cover up itself has made the verification and ascertainment more difficult or rather impossible given the scale of camouflage and dressing up done at each stage. The nearly 115 million shares held in the trust were previously registered last summer by Trump Media, which is the parent company of Truth Social, the social media platform that Trump has used as his primary online megaphone, NYT News Service reported. A few weeks after winning the presidential election, Trump transferred his shares in Trump Media to the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, which is controlled by his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. The president has said on several occasions that he had no plans to sell shares. Donald Trump is the largest single shareholder in Trump Media, controlling roughly 53 per cent of its shares. The stock, which surged after the election, has plunged more than 40 per cent this year. With the stock trading around $19, Trump's stake is worth nearly $2.2 billion. Trump Media's share price has swung wildly since it went public a year ago. Its trading patterns often seem divorced from the financials of the company, which has so far generated scant revenues and continues to post quarterly losses.
