Indian startups can look forward to an ‘India techade’
The last 9 years have seen a decisive transformation of India. The country’s political culture, governance, economy, confidence in its culture and heritage and more—the list is long—have been transformed. Coming after a decade of the United Progressive Alliance’s economic destruction, corruption, cronyism and appeasement, it has put India in the league of the world’s top five economies—a far cry from the “fragile five" among which India found itself at the end of the Congress-led coalition’s 10 years of power in 2014.

India has no plans to import wheat for now: Piyush Goyal
trade minister said on Saturday. «Ground reports indicate that the crop is quite good and this year's production is expected at a record 114 million metric tons,» Piyush Goyal told reporters. India banned wheat exports in 2022 after output was curtailed due to a heat wave, but more recently overseas sales picked up as Russia's invasion of Ukraine sent global prices to multi-year highs. The government has sold around 6 million metric tons of wheat to local bulk buyers since June. 1, when the state-run Food Corporation of India started selling the grain from its warehouses. Despite selling wheat from its granaries, inventories at state warehouses are likely to remain above the target of 7.46 million metric tons fixed for April 1, when a new marketing year starts, a top government official said earlier this month. The country's wheat stocks at state warehouses stood at 16.47 million metric tons as of Jan.

Natural Gas's Future Secured with $290 Billion in LNG Projects
Quiver Quantitative — The liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry is witnessing its largest-ever wave of megaprojects, signaling a robust future for natural gas in the global energy mix. Despite international efforts to move away from fossil fuels, exemplified by the recent UN climate talks in Dubai, the energy sector is betting heavily on natural gas. This commitment is evident in the expansion of the world’s largest natural-gas export facility in Qatar and the initiation of massive LNG projects in the United States. These developments are underpinned by the belief that natural gas, as the third leading fossil fuel, will remain a significant part of the world’s energy portfolio through at least 2050.

Nayanthara's Tamil film 'Annapoorani' has been removed from the streaming platform Netflix, sparking a wave of controversy and legal issues. The decision comes just weeks after the digital premiere of the movie and follows a police complaint filed against the actors, filmmakers, and the streaming service, alleging the film's derogatory portrayal hurt Hindu sentiments. The film, initially released on December 1 to mixed reviews, made its way to Netflix on December 29.
