UPS Waves Telegram show country Department Kyiv posts images of 'downed' Russian hypersonic missile
Ukraine released images on Friday of what it said was a Russian Kinzhal ballistic missile, which it claimed earlier in the week to have downed using the US Patriot anti-aircraft system. Ukraine's state emergency service published photographs on its Telegram channel showing a crane extracting the remains of a missile from the ground. «In Kyiv, engineers neutralised the warhead of an enemy Kinzhal aerial hypersonic missile,» the government department said. AFP was not able to immediately verify the claim. Ukraine said on Tuesday it had shot down ten Kinzhal missiles Russia fired at the country, during a wave of massive strikes on Ukrainian towns which left six people dead. Kinzhal missiles make up part of an arsenal of weapons that Putin has claimed were indestructible because of the speed at which they travel, up to ten times the speed of sound. According to the British defence ministry, Moscow reserves these warheads for what it considers to be «high-value and well-defended» targets. Kyiv has repeatedly said the Patriot air defence system is vital to defending the country from Russia. Kyiv has urged for more Western military support, worrying about war fatigue in some countries as the conflict drags on for almost two years.

California coast this week and are galvanized by the powerful pattern of El Niño in the Pacific Ocean. The recent event is unexpected to be as pronounced as the waves, expanding the California coast in the past week. However, the huge waves are happening more often as per researchers, since global warning expands severe weather conditions, elevating sea levels. As per them, it translates to more coastal flooding at a future date. A swell along with big waves and also coastal flooding is predicted along the West Coast this week. Afterwards, a periodical high tide can bring an even greater amount of water inshore within 10 days, as per Laura Engeman, who is a coastal resilience specialist with California Sea Grant. According to her in the case there are big waves during those days, we might witness more flooding. The recent round of waves is not predicted to be as powerful as the late event in December. It is the future El Niños as well as the rise in coastal flooding, charged by the warm climate that caution those who have studied the coast. El Niño comes with more active winter storms, and elevated sea levels according to an oceanographer at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, William Sweet. This translates to more flooding in coastal areas, greater amount of extreme erosion, and higher astronomical high tides.

markets Waves economy Trade consequences testing 2024 Xi Jinping Faces an Economic Test of Will in 2024
If the most important development of 2024 will be the wave of elections sweeping the democratic world, the second-most important story to watch is China’s economy. It boils down to two questions: What is it that has steeled Xi Jinping’s nerve to drive China into this—possibly necessary—economic turmoil, and can he keep his resolve over the next 12 months? The deterioration of the Chinese economy is, perhaps surprisingly for anything involving China, reasonably well understood. The country has never recovered from the twin shocks of a Beijing-induced property-market slowdown and the draconian (and failed) zero-Covid policy of the pandemic era.
