Indiabulls Real Estate on Tuesday said it has acquired 100 per cent stake in Sky Forest Projects Pvt Ltd from Blackstone at an enterprise value of Rs 647 crore. In a regulatory filing, the company said its subsidiary Indiabulls Constructions has «completed the acquisition of 100 per cent stake, on a fully diluted basis, of Sky Forest Projects, which owns a residential project 'Sky Forest', situated in Lowel Parel, Mumbai, from certain entities controlled by funds managed by Blackstone Inc, for an enterprise value of approximately Rs 646.71 crore». The acquisition would help expand the company's presence in Mumbai and is expected to lead to synergies and add value for all the stakeholders. Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd (IBREL) has posted widening of consolidated net loss at Rs 1,038.65 crore for the last fiscal year. Its net loss stood at Rs 608.38 crore in 2022-23.

Competition Commission of India (CCI) has cleared Sanyo Special Steel’s acquisition of a 15.43% stake in Sanyo Special Steel Manufacturing India (SSMI) from Mitsui & Co, the antitrust regulator said on Tuesday. Sanyo Special Steel, a Japan-based company, sells steel products globally and has manufacturing hubs in Europe and India. It is a part of Nippon Steel Corporation Group.

All the existing monthly contracts of stock derivatives in equity derivatives segment with expiry day as last Thursday of a calendar month (if Thursday is holiday then previous working day) will get expired on June 28, 2024, and will be removed from contract master file at end of day of June 28, the notice said further.

Samajik Nyay Navlok Party and the Gondwana Gantantra Party on Tuesday announced their support to the BJP, the party's Uttar Pradesh unit said. In a statement, the BJP said the two parties declared their support in the presence of state BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and state Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh. Kolkata Knight Riders seamer Harshit Rana was on Tuesday fined 100 per cent of his match fees and suspended for one match for breaching IPL Code of Conduct during their seven-wicket win over Delhi Capitals here. He was also seen appealing excessively after hitting Rasikh Salam high on his pads. «Rana committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5 of the IPL's Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee's sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding,» the IPL said in a statement.

Air India is likely to extend the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv till May 15 amid tensions in the Middle East, airline sources said on Tuesday. On April 19, the airline said Tel Aviv flights will remain suspended till April 30. It operates four weekly flights between the national capital and the Israeli city. The sources said the services will remain suspended, likely till May 15. There was no official statement from Air India on extending the suspension of the Tel Aviv flights.

The RBI, in November 2023 increased the risk weights on unsecured consumer loans and on credit cards by 25 percentage points to 125-150 per cent. Mindspace Business Parks REIT has recorded gross leasing of over 2 million sq ft in the quarter ended March, making it the highest ever leasing since its listing in August 2020. With this, the K Raheja Corp-backed REIT’s total leasing to 3.6 million sq ft in the financial year 2023-24. The REIT’s net operating income grew 9.3% from a year ago during the fourth quarter to Rs 477 crore and 11.9% to Rs 1,896 crore for 2023-24. “We had a record quarter, leasing 2 million sq ft, making this our top-performing quarter since going public. Our committed occupancy now stands at 90.6%,” said Ramesh Nair, CEO, K Raheja Corp Investment Managers, Manager to Mindspace REIT.

Muslim side in the Krishna Janmbhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute at Mathura in the Allahabad High Court, the Hindu side on Tuesday said the provisions of Waqf Act will not apply as the property in dispute is not a waqf property. It said the suit is maintainable and its non-maintainability can only be decided after the leading evidence. The matter is being heard by Justice Mayank Kumar Jain on applications moved by Muslim side regarding maintainability of suit. Counsel for the Hindu side, Rahul Sahai, while replying to the arguments raised from Muslim side, submitted that the provisions of the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991 will not apply to the matter.

private equity firm ChrysCapital has raised $700 million in new funds, allowing the firm to maintain its stake in India's National Stock Exchange (NSE) by buying itself out, the firm said Tuesday. ChrysCapital, one of India's biggest private equity firms with more than $4 billion invested, raised the money mainly from U.S investor HarbourVest and European funds Pantheon Ventures and LGT Capital Partners.
