aliens exist? Will they respond to the signals sent to them 40 years ago? Some astronomers believe that they may get the answer from aliens on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
A team of astronomers and scientists led by Shinya Narusawa at the University of Hyogo in Japan believe that the time has come when anybody living near the star Altair might have got the message from the Earth and they might have responded in their own way which could be caught on Earth now. Altair is the 12th brightest star in a clear sky, it is situated in the Aquila constellation and is located about 16.7 light years away from the Earth.
A team of scientists led by professors Masaki Morimoto and Hisashi Hirabayashi sent a burst of radio signals to the cosmos on August 15, 1983, from the University of Stanford in the U.S.A. It consisted of 13 paintings depicting the origin ad history of life on Earth, the structure of DNA, and the solar system.
But, August 22 is a symbolic day in Japan that celebrates Tanabata or star festival on this day every year. Hirabayashi has written several books on the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life.
It will be interesting to see if someone from Altair responds 40 years after a message was sent to them. But if they respond it will be an epoch-making incident for the entire mankind. The U.S. Congress has held a special hearing on the UAPs or Unidentified Anomalous Happenings. Harvard professor Avi Loeb has claimed to have found mysterious meteorites on the bottom of an ocean.
There are separate teams of people trying to find extraterrestrial life. Two missions, the ESA’s Juice,
