Benoit Sorel (pictured) has taken on the role of global head of ETF, indexing and smart beta business line at Amundi.
At BlackRock, Sorel worked as a managing director since 2018, and was responsible for leading the EMEA product and distribution strategy for ETFs and index investing.
Before this, he headed sales at the firm for ETFs and index investing in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco.

Earlier in his career, Sorel held several senior positions in business development on equity derivatives at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank and Bank of America.
Sorel succeeds Arnaud Llinas, who had been key in the integration of Lyxor within Amundi.
