Apple Watch Series 10 speaker too quiet? Users complain of sound problems
Apple Watch Series 10 users have widely reported issues with the smartwatch's speaker performance. Across the Apple Support Forum and Reddit, users claim the speaker becomes muffled and noticeably quieter over time, making it difficult to hear calls, alarms or music.
Some complaints date back at least four months, with reports suggesting the problem affects a significant number of users.
However, Apple is yet to release an official statement addressing the issue, according to reports.
Users struggle to find a fix
A user on Reddit stated that he had viewed social media posts boasting the greatness of the speaker on Watch 10; however, he said that he found it low. The user claimed that they downloaded a decibel meter app as well to check and «played a podcast, came in around 60 to 65 average and music (rock) was around 74 db average».
Many affected users initially believed that moisture buildup was causing the issue and attempted to resolve it using the Water Lock feature, which expels liquid from the speaker. Others speculated that body lotions and hand creams might be obstructing the speaker grille, particularly during colder months when such products are used more frequently. But no improvement was seen despite these cleaning efforts.
