The heartwarming video features Thrajul S Sankar, affectionately known as Shanku, expressing his wish to have biryani and chicken fry at his Anganwadi instead of upma. In the clip, Shanku, wearing a cap, can be seen asking his mother for these dishes. The video, recorded while he was enjoying biryani at home, was shared on Instagram and quickly captured public attention, with some people reportedly even offering to deliver his favourite foods to him.
The video caught the attention of Kerala’s Health, Women, and Child Welfare Minister, Veena George. She responded positively, saying the government would consider adjusting the Anganwadi menu based on Shanku’s request. Sharing the video on her Facebook page, she expressed her warm wishes to Shanku, his family, and the Anganwadi staff, acknowledging the charm of his innocent appeal.
Veena George confirmed that the current food offerings would be reviewed, considering Shanku’s suggestion. She highlighted that Anganwadis already serve a variety of nutritious meals for children.
